Some Florida parents have turned to booze and weed to get through remote learning with their kids..."...parents...with joints in their hand and cigarettes in their mouth," Pride told Fox News. "Sometimes the joints are as big as cigars...Elysa Grossman, a Johns Hopkins University professor, and Susan Sonnenschein, a UMBC professor, polled parents earlier..."We found that parents who are stressed by having to help their children with distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic drink seven more drinks per month...

If there weren’t so many potheads in the population, winning the election would be easy. The stinkin’ weed turns minds to the left.
I am a retired physics teacher, current GED tutor who has been monitoring my 8 year old grandkids remote “learning”...
It takes supreme effort to not hit the bottle watching this total chaos.
Thankfully there is only one more week to endure.
So what exactly is the problem here?
Presumably it’s what they did when their children were attending school before.
So they are providing the personal presence that the teachers would have?
I had a hard time keeping my kids focused on academics for the last three months of last school year. I bought enrichment workbooks, while their dad said you have to do that or work on merit badges. They’ve racked up more than 30 merit badges between them in six months, everything that could be done at home or nearly alone.
He considers it educational to have watched historic movies and taken financial literacy courses to earn badges, but they’re behind on math and science because online isn’t good enough.
I agree, math and science are the most difficult to handle online. There’s no teacher to walk around the room and make sure equations are set up correctly... And don’t even get me started on virtual “science labs”.
My sister teaches college chemistry. She said the American Chemical Society is demanding virtual lab courses have a special code on transcripts. Students with too many will be labeled “deficient” for future credentials.
Bump for later.
We’re seeing the simple case of algebra 2 and chemistry education hindered by being virtual. A teacher can point to a printed page and say put the 2 here, not there. Right now, they scan or take a picture of the page they printed out, upload it, and the teacher types up feedback. Slow, awkward, hard to understand.
It's a world of reefer, a world of beers...
ROTFL!
