I am a retired physics teacher, current GED tutor who has been monitoring my 8 year old grandkids remote “learning”...
It takes supreme effort to not hit the bottle watching this total chaos.
Thankfully there is only one more week to endure.
I had a hard time keeping my kids focused on academics for the last three months of last school year. I bought enrichment workbooks, while their dad said you have to do that or work on merit badges. They’ve racked up more than 30 merit badges between them in six months, everything that could be done at home or nearly alone.
He considers it educational to have watched historic movies and taken financial literacy courses to earn badges, but they’re behind on math and science because online isn’t good enough.
Bump for later.
