I am not laughing when I say my acrophobia has a basis in fact.
Me too. Cliff edges scare the crap out of me. Yet I love to fly in any kind of aircraft. Weird.
Thank you. When it comes to anything taller than a step-stool, I trust what my inner ear is trying to tell me, not what my cojones tell me to do.
Im with you, Ive always hated heights.
I was at the Grand Canyon a couple of years ago and there was a teenage boy showing off by posing on the edge of a cliff (beyond the barrier). A ranger came up and told him to get off because she didnt want to have to go down to pick up his body because it was four hours down and six hours up. He refused and she reminded him that she was armed and she would arrest him unless he was off immediately. He got off.
But kids really dont think. Young people believe they are immortal. While thats one of the good things about being young, sometimes it makes you ignore reasonable limitations. But youth is all about that.
Prayers for these two girls and their families.
I've always hated heights. I couldn't even stand walking across a bridge that had metal grating you had to walk on, and could see the water running below you. My stomach even lurches when watching some programs and movies that show heights. I get a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach.
Even driving along the road beside the Grand Canyon scared me. The road is very close to the edge in some places.
I agree.....
Close to the edge
Down by the river....
