In 1998, I decided to volunteer for a Congressional campaign (Republican primary), putting up posters, getting phone numbers, etc. The candidate I was working for kept on trying to push some story about his opponent that was minor and easily refuted. Nevermind, the candidates handlers kept on pushing this as though it was some huge conspiracy all the way through to election day.
I think that's what Biden's handlers are doing with President Trump.
