Trump suggests he would 'negotiate' a third term as president because he is 'probably entitled' to it

President Donald Trump on Saturday once again suggested interest in serving three terms in office, claiming that he was "probably entitled" to an additional four years following a hypothetical second term at a campaign event in Nevada.

"And 52 days from now we're going to win Nevada, and we're gonna win four more years in the White House," Trump told the mostly maskless, non-socially distant crowd of his supporters on Saturday. "And then after that, we'll negotiate, right? Because we're probably - based on the way we were treated - we are probably entitled to another four after that."

Trump has often claimed he has been treated unfairly in comparison to his predecessors, often times pointing to the Russian election interference probe and his impeachment. Throughout his first term as president, Trump has also frequently floated the idea that he will attempt to serve more than two terms in office.

In August, at a rally in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the president similarly suggested he was owed a third presidential term.

"We are going to win four more years," Trump said last month, according to Yahoo News. "And then after that, we'll go for another four years because they spied on my campaign. We should get a redo of four years."

In November 2018, Trump told Fox News' Chris Wallace that he would not seek a constitutional amendment to permit him to serve more than two terms in office. He made the clarification after he had praised Chinese President Xi Jinping's abolishment of presidential term limits.

Trump is definitely a master troller. He might even be raising the issue for another reason. Part of his 2nd term agenda is to push for Congressional term limits. When the left comes out against term limits, he’ll point out how apoplectic they were when he suggested he’d like a third term.

I love Trump because I believe he loves America and is doing everything he does because he loves America.

But I think his advisors are not helping. It appears that they are not showing him where he should be using the Constitutional (ex. for invasion ban (not “travel ban”) using Art. IV, Sec. 4). Trump is on the right track in reducing basically unconstitutional regulations because the so-called forth Branch, the Administrative/Regulatory Branch, is unconstitutional, not provided at all in the Constitution.

But where Trump is missing it IMO is he still seems to think the feds are here to help the American people, but that is NOT the feds the Constitution created. The specific delegated powers enumerated by the states and the people to the feds via the Constitution are mainly in the area of defending America from foreign threats.

So there’s a lot of stuff he does or supports that is simply not constitutional. But he’s a businessman so he needs to be shown these things by his so-called legal advisors who don’t seem to be showing him what is constitutional and what is not.

IMO Trump’s job in his second term, whether he realizes it or not, is to GREATLY REDUCE the size and scope of the feds down to closer to what the Constitution allows. He must see that to MAGA means restoring our Free Constitutional Republic.

Guys...

The feds are 80%+ unconstitutional.

Trump has done a number of constitutionally questionable things.

It’s not as ridiculous as you make it seem.

Trump is deep sea trolling. I see him on the back of a charter boat with a long rod with a big shiny lure towing behind the boat.

“I may be mistaken, but Congress passed a law during the Nixon years that if the President is wrongly impeached, he is owed 2 additional years. “

It would have been passed by Democrats. They had huge majorities under Nixon, which is how they ram him out.
