Trump won by 15%! Upstate NY. Claudia Tenney lost by less than 1%(.08). We should win it back but at the same time we should realize the voters are fickle and we need to be on our toes. We'll get it back in spite of ourselves. Thank POTUS.
The GOP wants to lose close ones, not win. They are hoping that this Trump thing will just go away, so they can get back to shipping jobs overseas, opening the border, and talking about tax cuts again; maybe, they can try to whip up one more good war as a last raping of the patriotism of their base.

Good point. If a Mitt Romney or John Kasich was running for office in my state, I would root for them to lose.
That cannot be said of Democrats. They will vote for their candidates no matter what.
That is a flaw of us conservatives. We pay too much attention to the character of the candidates. Maybe we would win more if we blindly voted the straight GOP ticket no matter what.
Trump is first and foremost a narcissist. Every bit as big a narcissist as Obama. You’re delusional if you believe otherwise. He loves adoring crowds chanting his name. He won the nomination because he pushed all the right buttons with a base tired of voting for republicans that acted like democrats as soon as they get to DC. He also benefited from a crowded field. I think it was 16? Some of them, Pataki, Graham, Huntsman, had less than zero chance of winning. So against nearly all of the 8 or 10 ‘legitimate’ candidates Trump probably loses 1 on 1. He has no core principles other than Donald J. Trump. He probably never wanted to be President. He’s like a dog that chases a car and is sorry he caught it.
That said, he was the better choice than Clinton of course. And he’s better than president-in-waiting Harris.
But if the best the US can offer to voters is Obama, McCain, Clinton, Trump, Biden....we are indeed doomed.

Mr. Noble: I’ve said before he’s not really a Republican but lefties don’t want to believe it-too blind. He has democrat tendencies like the old ones. I see a bit of George Wallace and certainly JFK. Should he have ditched the GOP after being elected? Ask me after he’s reelected. Lol.

He's almost certainly going to be the first U.S. President in history who leaves office less wealthy than he started. He didn't need this sh!t, and if being an effective President was all just an ego trip for him then I think we should get on our knees every day and beg God to give us more narcissists like him.

Coumo has completely changed voting in NYS. He added every vote fraud cheating method since the last election, And then some new ones on top of that. Like forcing the poll books to be digital(Easy to alter on the fly). Democrat vote fraud will rule the day in NY.
I don’t know that I’d use an unkind formulation like “pathetic malcontent.” I did not support Trump in my state’s primary. Now I’m an extremely enthusiastic supporter. Completely setting aside their policies, “nixes guys” Bushes x2, Romney were relentlessly roasted by the media for their fictional hatefulness. In 2016 for the first time we brought a knife fighter to a knife fight. I’m convinced no GOP except Trump could have won. I’m all for civility but the other side abandoned that long ago
