OK, this story is *really* disturbing, and should set off more than a few alarm bells... the Chief Fire Marshal of Oregon was basically told he was being put on "administrative leave" yesterday for no good reason, and so now he has resigned. Why would they do this to the highest level fire official in the state, at a time like this? Could it be that he might have been starting to connect the dots as to how these fires actually got started???

From your article:

Walker spoke with KOIN 6 News Saturday evening during which he said he was placed on leave by OSP Superintendent Travis Hampton after trying to help a co-worker whose family was missing in a fire zone.

“I did so with the specific understanding that my visit had been cleared with the appropriate team personnel,” said Walker. He said after, Hampton’s assessment was that he had overstepped his role and took action without the authority to do so.

“And although I’m losing my job because of it, I would do it again,” said Walker

My theory is he wouldn’t toe the “global warming caused this” line.

Do something...... even if it is wrong. That’s the ticket

Woe is me, woe is me, woe is me saith the governor who is powerless to take any action that is actually effective

It’s nice to be in command until the attack and real shooting begin

Unlike cream that rises, crap sinks

If you are the head of the Fire Response, your focus HAS to be on that—not on individuals.

That’s basic management 101. That’s why lots of people think bosses are heartless.

OSP Superintendent Travis Hampton does not want a competent professional.
Travis wants this guy

However, Walker spoke with KOIN 6 News Saturday evening during which he said he was placed on leave by OSP Superintendent Travis Hampton after trying to help a co-worker whose family was missing in a fire zone.

You're being paid to coordinate the effort to battle the blazes with all of the the state's resources at your command. Not to drop out of contact on a personal mission inside of one while everyone else picks up your slack.

In so many ways, the government is not trying to help these situations — the government is punishing people who are helping, and encouraging people who cause the problems.

Enemies foreign and domestic. The political establishment hates this country. Which is pretty weird.

In Kansas City, back in the day when the firefighters union would go on strike, lots of fires were started by the members. Modus operandi.

Did you bother to read the article and what he said? He was fired for trying to help find a temporary employee‘s missing family.

The mayor of Portland and the governor of Oregon wanted to see Portland burn, now the whole state is burning. This is beyond corruption.

Given all we know about how Oregon is currently being run, why would anyone make the assumption this was a good change? Also, why would anyone assume the facts and statements are reported accurately?
