In Quebec City, Canada, the state has the ability to force people who test positive for the coronavirus into isolation at a secret location if they are deemed “uncooperative,” according to Dr. Jacques Girard, who heads the Quebec City public health authority.
During a portion of a press conference exclusively translated by RAIR Foundation USA, Girard discussed an instance where patrons from a particular bar were told to wait for test results for the coronavirus. The patrons disregarded the orders and went to other bars before the test results came back positive, which led to them being taken and forcibly placed into isolation by the state.
Six other Quebec City bars “known to have been frequented by Kirouac regulars” are now being examined by public health officials. It should be noted that it is not being claimed that anyone is actually sick from the coronavirus. But the state has the power to force a citizen into isolation anyway.

The Canadian approach is understandable; that was exactly the method used to isolate HIV patients and stop the spread of AIDS in the 1980s.

For what it’s worth Quebec is the worst province in Canada for Covid by far. It has almost double the cases and deaths of Ontario with about 60% of the population in comparison.
We have the power to stop it here in the USA.....how about that Republic?
Yes, “even if” and maybe EsPECIALLY if he wins it will be a struggle. I am trying to puzzle out all the possible scenarios now. We should really let all the disgruntled ones start their own civilization in,, say, California. See how well they fare.

Well, I guess Canada isn’t as free as it proclaims (”The True North strong and free,” from its national anthem).
Just give them independence. We(Trump) take the rest of Canada. Ontario could survive on their own.
Sounds good to me. QC is like a poison for the rest of Canada, which always has to accommodate Quebec.
I do live in the province; fortunately, where I am, it’s 40% English speaking. (I live across the river from Ottawa).
I feel sorry for the children of French speaking people who send their children to French schools. They are condemning them to working in QC.
Same thing with English speaking parents who send their children to English schools. They will never be able to work for the federal government. Learning French as a second language is hard enough; as an adult, it’s even harder.

The Sweden part, that was 6 years ago when I was there for my Mother’s funeral. I can only imagine how much worse things have gotten. That was the year before Merkel welcomed the asylum.
