Retired airline pilot Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger on Friday condemned President Trumps reported comments on fallen U.S. service members, saying the commander in chief has completely failed to uphold his oath.
Sullenberger, an Air Force veteran who landed the famous "Miracle on the Hudson," wrote a thread following the bombshell report this week from The Atlantic accusing the president of disparaging dead military veterans as losers and suckers.
For the first time in American history, a president has repeatedly shown utter and vulgar contempt and disrespect for those who have served and died serving our country, the former pilot wrote. While I am not surprised, I am disgusted by the current occupant of the Oval Office.
Sullenberger argued that Trump has shown himself to be completely unfit for and to have no respect for the office he holds.

I think this was a Democrat Party item set up and the Nancy stumble coupled with Riots and killings forced them to pull the rip cord before October.
The Atlantic is owned by a tax exempt foundations set up by the Activist widow of Steve Jobs.
You’d think he would resist riding a high horse.
Hero? Yeah, he saved a lot of lives that day, but so did Boeing engineers who designed the engine mounts to get sheared off and the craft to remain intact.
..and now he wants us to throw it all away over lies.
Who respects who, Sully?
Sully is sucking in the Russian propaganda?
Wow I thought he was better than that.
Old Fool ,I hope he stopped flying
I used to read and like The Atlantic some years ago. It was a bit liberal but had nice balanced thoughtful intelligent articles often. It really has gone nuts now I guess—a shame. The New Yorker went (even more) downhill too.
Well, I thought he had good sense and judgement.
But buying this propaganda at face value about a man with decades of deeds showing his respect for the military?
Guess not anymore!
Sometimes a person needs to think and search for facts before ignorantly chiming in.
Lost all respect for this Sully guy.
Shut up, Sully, you attention-wh*re @sshole!!.
Your 15 minutes of fame have been over with for a LONG time. Your hatred/jealousy of Trump is obvious and PATHETIC.
.....AS IF you’re some kind of an expert, what a POS you are!
By the way I made it a point to NOT go to your stupid movie.
Well this scumbag takes as gospel any rumor he hears. How does he take the rumor that he’s a quiff?
Anyone that listens to and believes anything coming from leftist presstitutes in America will never get respect from me.
I think it will have some effect. The lies about the bounties on the heads of American soldiers has caused a steep drop in military support for Trump already. Biden leads Trump by 5 points among the active duty military, per a Military Times Poll. By contrast, Trump lead Hillary by 20 points in the same poll in 2016. I suspect Trump will lose even more support among the military. It may make Arizona difficult for us.
Looks like he’s soiled him pants once again.
I couldn’t care less what this drunken sot has to say about anything.
His 15 minutes of fame were up years ago.
Attention whore is what he is.
No respect for idiots who just believe anonymous sources who put words in the mouths of others..
So many idiots; so full of raw hate. No reason... just hate..
Tom Hanks probably called him and told him he would arrange for a reporter to be calling, and heres what you should say.
The article was fake and so is your post
Nuff said
Fun movie. I always thought Julie Haggerty was a beautiful woman.
Too many people are believing FAKE NEWS.
Military Times is owned by a private investor now, but still has the stain of its time under Gannett ownership. Take their polls with a grain of salt.
Someone needs to make a graphic of those quotes, so we can all send to Sullied.
