Love the scene with the dripping faucet in the motel. So many great scenes with Pesci and Tomei.
Funny and
Marisa is a Hot Riot !
That’s a funny movie.
That one-piece she wears at the cabin...
It was/is a good movie.
Several years ago our local Tea Party group had a meeting where the topic was funding for the public defenders office. There was a State Representative, a local judge, a group of lawyers, several local representatives and a group of public defenders in attendance with other tea party members like me. After presentations we broke up into three groups to discuss ways to fund a public defenders office. I was put in the group with the public defenders. They asked me what I thought and I said we didn’t need a public defenders office. Everyone gave me a blank stare and I explained, “ If every family in Ohio had a Cousin Vinny, ...” One of the public defenders busted out laughing and said she was required to watch that movie in law school. I have a lawyer friend who told me since then she requires her law students to watch the courtroom scenes. Great movie!
- Vinny Gambini: Your Honor, may I have permission to treat Ms. Vito as a hostile witness?
- Mona Lisa Vito: You think I’m hostile now, wait ‘til you see me tonight.
- Judge Chamberlain Haller: Do you two know each other?
- Vinny Gambini: Yeah, she’s my fiancée.
- Judge Chamberlain Haller: Well, that would certainly explain the hostility.
LOVE LOVE LOVE My Cousin Vinny. Great movie
She won the Oscar for this. Impossible today because the Rat/RINO uniparty of treason would classify her performance as racist
Pesci, Gwynne, and Tomei — this Vinny movie happened to be the best performances and roles for each, IMHO. I CAN’T get too much of it.
Damn she’s hot.
Where were all the girls like her when I was still single?
I’ve never seen this movie all the way through. Something tells me I should.
Just one of the many good lines-— in this hilarious movie— a favourite of real Southerners in Georgia and elsewhere. Filmed in GA. Everything about it— written with true knowledge of the locale. Grits, speech/expressions, trains, crappy hotels, and especially red... wet, slippery as greased pig pooh GA clay.
Here’s our fave from Marisa: “Oh shuah-— yah blennnd!”
From the Judge: “Mr. Gambini are you mocking me?” “What?” Your clothes— I instructed you to return to Court in proper clothes...” “You were serious about that?” Next scene— he’s on the bus to the same county prison.
The automotive knowledge also— positraction, limited slip differential and the tire markings as a result. Beautiful- especially coming from expert witness, mechanic Marisa Tomei.
One of my favorite movies.
Marisa Tomei taught me it was okay yo be a car-loving chick. :3
My high school counselor didn’t agree. He refused to enroll me in auto shop because I was a girl. That was his reason.
Everything I learned about the law came from watching My Cousin Vinny 50 times.
My favorite scene.
K
My Cousin Vinny is hilarious. One of those movies you can watch multiple times and never get tired of it. One of my favorites.
