If there is one good thing to come out of Covid it is education.
Or lack of it. People's eyes are opening. Even the generations after mine.
First, everyone can see that anyone under thirty is a dingbat.
Everyone over 30!
second, that is a very low bar.
Third, Every parent has noticed that their kids are not learning but also they haven't been! Anything
The kids are zombies. No really..........
Bingo!!!!!!!!
We are in weak men make hard times. The only real man in government is Trump. The rest are perfumed princes and princesses.
My kids are Trump supporters also. Their dingbat Dad however wishes Obambam was king. Or Shrillery Queen. Unfortunately, my selector of men is broken.
"...I hope that people I don't know will stay 6-feet away from me at a store/restaurant forever. Movie theatre, too..."
No more food-sample tables clogging the aisles at Costco!!!
I guess it was too much to ask for Costco to limit it to 2 people per family forever. I hate getting stuck behind folks from India. Mom, dad, 4 kids and grandma and grandpa. Following grandpa as he shuffles along with his hands clasped behind his back for their weekly family outing.
hahaha!! In my neck of the woods it is filipinos that bring their entire freakin’ family to the store.
they all have to gather around a box of Cheerios to decide.
One Good Thing,,,,?
I’m thinking.
A year or two ago there was a big ice storm (Seattle area). I had forgotten all about the preps people were taking (I always am) and offered to go get one of those big things of eggs for a neighbor at Costco.
The place was PACKED! Every checkout lane was running, with perhaps 20 to 30 carts in each lane. Maybe 5% were whites, 70% Indians and the rest a mixture of Asians and muslims. I was behind this young Indian guy.
He had a cart 1/4 filled with chocolate and that was it. I had my 24 eggs.
Turns out he had studied in the USA and was a software guy. He was traveling to India to visit family and they can’t get good chocolate there so he packs a change of clothes and the rest is chocolate!
We both lamented doing our little errands on such a busy evening.
He looked over the crowd of people and he said “This is what India looks like all the time.”
I quipped “Yeah - in more ways than one!”
He did a double-take at the people and then cracked up laughing.
>>> Are we in Good Times make Weak Men?<<<
Of course!
I think we’ve crossed over to the Weak Men make Bad Times.
My wife would be on total agreement with your husband.
She has apparently forgotten how broke I was, the crap jobs that I kept finding just to keep going.
But hunting and fishing are a sport. So you enjoy some sports. ;-)
Not for me, it’s a lifestyle.
Fair enough, it’s a lifestyle for me too, and I love it.
Right.
He is now my ex.
