The NHL laid out a comprehensive plan on Thursday to "fight against racism" and issue "the mandate to make our sport and our league more welcoming and inclusive."
Among several initiatives, the NHL and NHLPA have planned mandatory inclusion and diversity training for all players during training camp for the 2020-21 season. Meanwhile, league employees will have their own inclusion training, led by Bill Proudman from White Men as Full Diversity Partners.

If the NHL wants to be inclusive, perhaps it should find a place for people who want free tickets and free merchandise. :-P
What is bothering me is why are these sports franchises committing financial hara kiri for people who will never be their audience?
Their job is to generate income for their owners and stockholders by entertaining people. They are failing at this. I’d think there would be lawsuits.

I used to be a hockey fan in college & attended every home game I could for our local team (farm team for the Flyers. This was back in day when Dave “The Hammer” Schultz was playing locally, before he went to the Flyers. There were other great Flyer’s players I got to see locally. After a long break, I took up watching hockey again maybe two years ago & definitely have watched a lot of games for certain teams. I’ve also been a NASCAR fan for a couple of decades - attended races at the local track years ago & now catch the races on TV.
SO, with all the ‘taking a knee’, literally & figuratively, that’s going on these days ... no more NHL, no more NOOSECAR for me.
I have mentioned this a few times but the goals are to have minority men enriched by salary through playing, women being paid as execs, announcers, et al and white men reduced to the paying customer. As long as enough white men pay to support this garbage then the goals will become fruition. Exceptions apply of course but be prepared for this through all areas of life.

Maybe they could skate in a loop like roller derby and have machetes and maces and baseball bats....
I might drive to Dallas to see that...
I’m done with all sports.
I’ve taken up new hobbies, and have better things to do.
Chief among these is marksmanship - visiting the range 3 times a week. Could come in handy after November 3rd.
Also, getting a lot of yard work and tasks completed around the house.

Midgets. They need to show inclusiveness and sign more midgets. Particularly as goaltenders.
The thing is even with prominent players who are black hockey just isn’t a big deal in the black community and hockey is very expense to get into those skates pads sticks rinks to rent aren’t cheap it’s alot less money toss around a football or go down to the park and grab a basketball and shoot a few
