House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggested Thursday that former Vice President Joe Biden cancel his three scheduled debates with President Trump because the commander-in-chief would “belittle” the forum and engage in “skullduggery.”
“I don’t think that there should be any debates,” Pelosi said out of the blue at a news conference at the Capitol, saying she doesn’t want the debates to be “an exercise in skullduggery.”
“I wouldn’t legitimize a conversation with him, nor a debate in terms of the presidency of the United States. Now I know that the Biden campaign thinks in a different way about this.” […]

These folks really hate Trump. It’s amazing to watch them unwind. Centrists are probably baffled because they see him as the president, but hard leftists and the D’s come from a different, and dangerous position.
For decades they’ve bullied the republicans. That is why we always saw the R’s as Charlie brown and the D’s as Lucy holding the football. So Trump calls their bluff and they desperately want to paint him as the bad guy.
That’s not gonna play well outside the bubble.

but she happens to be correct in trying to keep Biden in his mama’s basement since Biden obviously cannot survive a debate with anybody (not even a 5 year old child with learning disabilities)

It is amazing how hard Democrats are having to work to hide their mentally impaired candidate Joe Biden from public scrutiny. Biden’s mental capacity must be declining very rapidly.
They don’t want sleepy-gropey-lying joe to debate Trump. They know Trump will knock him out in the first round.
I think they are pretty much conceding the White House, and focusing on the Senate and House races. In a way, they may actually deep down hope Trump does get re-elected, in the thinking that by 2024, he will be so unpopular, that a Republican couldn’t get elected.
If Biden won, I think he probably would have wound up as a very unpopular President and would harm the Democrats for years to come.
