BLM and Antifa are acting illegally and burning and looting businesses.
Undoubtedly, many have become tired of this occurring and are fearful it will happen to their property.
During this power vacuum, militia? are arming to defend other peoples' property, not setting out to shoot protesters.
If BLM and Antifa weren't looting and burning, defenders would not be rising. So BLM and Antifa then would be the cause of the presence of militia, wherever they might be.
If some say they need to not defend property not theirs, then will these mayors or governors send in personnel to guard properties day and night? Will they send in 1000 law enforcement personnell to cuff and stuff 250 rioters if need be?
And burning down the property of someone that did nothing to hurt anyone else makes as much sense as ramming the car of person B when it was the car of person A that BLM clains rams them all the time.
CNN’s Don Lemon admitted what we’ve all thought: he ripped Slow Joe as being too weak to stand up to the rioters and looters:
“I think Democrats are ignoring this problem or hoping that it will go away...Joe Biden may be afraid to do it...He’s got to address it. He’s got to come out and talk about it.”
He is strategizing, but he also torpedoed Slow Joe.
Sadly, I think this is what Democrats are going to create with their ineptitude.

(Sniffle) He’s encouraging systematic racism, the violent fight for social desirability,
and (gasp) he's imperiling ethnic diversity........the basis of America's strength (sob).
Offenses that grievous should not be overlooked by CNN (ahem) newsmakers.

In Washington State the law states that “self defense” includes protecting yourself, your property, or anyone else or property from harm.
However, prosecutors of late have made it difficult for those protecting property. And it has always been based on “reasonable force” to stop the threat.
Years ago a neighbor saw some guy stealing a TV from a neighbor’s home that he knew was out of town. The neighbor shot the guy in the butt with a broadhead arrow. Called the police and the thief was arrested. The DA made a point of saying that it was a legal “shoot”. But if he had killed the thief it would not have been legal. Sounds goofy to me - but I wouldn’t want to test it over a TV.
You did a civic duty in the strengthenimg of the cause via including the number that will enable this! I salute!

Oh - just to be clear - not a neighbor of mine. I read about it in the papers. It has probably been 15 years now where their was a rash of people shooting robbers. One of the sheriffs said something like “I wonder when these thieves will realize it is open season on them?”
But - that was many years ago.

The BEST thing you can do is get trained on what you can do. CCW courses, unarmed courses and similar. Learn the law or be subjected to it.
Remember: These rioters have allies high up in government. You do not. They will roast you alive as an example to others if they can do so.
Do not initiate a confrontation, be familiar enough with the specifics of the law that you know the immediate response to any given situation. That is the only way you can truly protect yourself and those you love.
Im wondering what they are going to do if say 5,000 militia or a coalitiom of 20,000 show up say in 4 or 5 cities.

This type of activism isn’t for me; for others it is.
What I’m wondering is if thousands of militia show up and cops try to arrest say 50 people who move through a massive crowd and the cops can’t get to them even just because of the sheer number blocking them, what will come of it?

In the State of SC, you can only defend your property with deadly force. It is a gray area for your neighbor’s house.
The militia group in Kenosha raises alarms, something is off on them. They were there to protect property and to support the protestors. Jacob Blake stated that in an interview before the shooting.
Is this Militia group a Libertarian group? I have to wonder, a conservative militia group would not be there to support BLM.
I notice a lot of Libertarian mindsets here on the Free Republic are quick to condemn the Police. Are the Libertarians supporting BLM positions?
Are the Antifa/BLM factions using/exploiting Libertarians to be the boogeyman (Kenosha Militia Group)?
I have noticed my local Libertarian friends are anti-authoritarianism where the police are evil.
I live in the country. When I see a vehicle or people I don't know on any of my neighbor's properties I hop in my truck and investigate with my 44 on my hip and Mr Mossberg in hand.
I ask two questions: Who are you and Who's property are you on? Wrong answers get a call to the owner and a couple of times to the Sheriff.
All of my neighbors appreciate it and many call me to let me know when someone is coming out to their property.

No, not unless hired as an agent of the property owners. And the prevailing rule in self defense situations in any event is “you cannot shoot an unarmed opponent.”
