NFL Legend Herschel Walker, who spoke at the Republican National Convention Monday evening, told USA Today Sports that he has lost friends over his open support for his friend, President Donald Trump.
“Losing friends has been a big cost. I lost some friends, and that’s what’s so strange about it. How could in a country like America you disagree with someone that you now want to injure that person or you just don’t want to talk to them no more?’’ the Heisman Trophy Winner asked. “Where did it get that you become a country like that?’’
Walker also explained how the Democrat Party continues to veer further and further to the left, telling the outlet, “I love the Lord Jesus Christ and when I start seeing the Democratic Party, and I want to say ‘the other party,’ when I start seeing them not want to talk about God and removing God, and then I saw the BLM burning a cross and also burning the Holy Bible and burning a flag, and that’s not something I want to be a part of.”
USA Today Sports took issue with some of Walker’s remarks, contending that he “offered falsehoods and dubious claims about the Democratic Party and the Black Live Matter movement,” despite the stream of evidence of left-wing radicalism within the party and violence in the protests nationwide. Two people were shot and killed and another injured as a result of the riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Tuesday night alone.
“It’s a political civil war going on right now. It really is a political civil war and I think it’s not right. I honestly don’t think it’s right, so I’m going to speak the truth,” he declared.

I never believed some people wish for absolute misery for themselves and everyone else but now, having seen so much of it since President Trump's election, I couldn't deny it if I tried. I was so naive and misguided in thinking that all people want things better, to improve themselves and others, but have been disabused of such a hopeful but unrealistic expectation by some people consistently proving otherwise.
I wasted a lot of life effort accommodating their sociopathies and have since enjoyed the liberation of walking away from mental patients. They may find their way, but until then, there's no need to get dragged into their neuroses. Life is too short to waste time with The Deficientes.
My alleged friend who hates Trump is no loss...I’m trying to get her to stop sending anti-Trump emails, but she keeps on. And on.

Why do they even bother to interview Herschel Walker if they’re going to trash his opinions. I hope you didn’t think USA Today were your friends.
I remember talking to Walker when he was a member of the Dallas Cowboys. Stand-up guy. Wanted to be an FBI agent.
As with “Bush vs Gore”, and ever since, the Dims have never consented any loss, always claimed foul, always claimed they could not lose and only lost by some GOP connivance.
That political mantra has not stopped in over 30 years, AND the media has been all in supporting it.
Walker is a pretty good guy, for a Georgia Bulldog.
Herschel’s speech the other night at the convention was genuine and heart felt. You could tell he is an upstanding man of values and principles. It’s a shame people chose to stop being his friend. It’s their loss, not Herschel’s. I hope he comes to understand that.
I purchased the “Uncle Tom” documentary, and boy, was it great. All about black conservatives.
I was disappointed they didn’t have more Thomas Sowell...but they had some!
They also prominently featured that firecracker Candace Owens, who I hope does have a political future.
See, we embrace these people as conservatives, not because they are black...but because they are conservatives.
Leftists want blacks in their corner because of the melanin content of their skin. I say that, because they certainly aren’t bringing them in for their intellectual heft. They have some embarrassingly stupid people on their side...too many to even name, but all of them about as intelligent as Maxine Waters.

Loved when he mentioned riding It’s a Small world ride with Trump wearing a suit. My all time favorite ride. First time for me was at N.Y. World Fair 1964.
Herschel has gained far more friends than he has lost.
Any friend who canceled him out is not a true friend.
Losing friends hurts. I’m not talking about acquaintances. Several years ago I lost one friend of 50 yrs and another 35 years. It wasn’t over politics.still hurts when you think how much you had invested in that relationship and lifetime of memories. I feel for the guy.
He has not lost a single friend...he is simply finding out who his friends really are.

For us outspoken supporters of Trump that are black, it is very hard. I have even battled against family members and those who I thought were “friends.”
