My sister just turned 67 and wants to purchase a pistol for self-defense.
I do not think she has ever fired a weapon before in her life. She is sufficiently concerned about the crap going on that she wants to be able to defend herself. She works in downtown Baltimore and commutes from her home in suburban Maryland between Baltimore, Wash DC, and Annapolis.
What do the FR firearms experts recommend for the pistol, ammunition, and training? How do you evaluate trainers and their training programs? What do you look for?
Yup. Disrupt command and control or put a leak in the circulatory system, and the mighty will fall.
XLNT!
Thanks
I don’t know, every time I have seen mobs surround a car and then shots fired, they scatter like quail, giving you enough time to speed off.
[I need a couple of Those ,,
Who makes them,
if you
Please?]
I cut them a break when they miss the clear “/s” or “j/k.” But, indeed, there are many severely impaired!
Just to clarify, if you have to rack it just before you shoot, you’re gone. “Easy to rack” better be at home. .380’s are fine, as long as they are ready to shoot. “Cocked and locked” for the 1911-style.
My friend’s wife carries a “Lady Smith” .38 S&W hammerless. No fuss, just pull the trigger.
No .38 “+P”, and certainly not .357 Magnum - you have to have good hand/wrist strength to use those, especially the short-barreled versions that will fit in a purse. .38 will do nicely.
My wife carries ME, cause she couldn’t shoot anybody.
It might be worse than California — she is in Maryland!
I concur wholeheartedly.
The Lady Smith is a good choice.
