Where did this all come from: the vitriol and vice, the anger and hatred, the looting, the riots, the destruction, the nihilistic confusion, the science-denying gender-bending sexuality, the suicidal infatuation with socialism, the adolescent whining for safety rather than freedom?
Just look over your sons or daughters shoulder, and you might find the answer.
Mr. Kay, who teaches English at... a Philadelphia public school, expressed his concern about the damage that parents might cause if they overheard the lessons he had prepared for their children.
Mr. Kay then described how conservative parents are his chief concern when he and his fellow teachers are engaging in the messy work of destabilization.
This past week the parents of students who attend Rutherford County Schools (RCS) in Tennessee were sent a note telling them that they must sign a form agreeing not to monitor their childs online classroom sessions...
In other words, parents in the heartland of Tennessee are being told to sign a form agreeing not to observe their sons and daughters education or their child will be expelled from class. Unless, of course, teachers such as Mr. Kay, out of the benevolence of his heart, grant these lowly parents permission to engage.
Maybe it is because we have allowed ourselves to be removed from the No.1 obligation we have in raising our children: Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6).
Call me crazy, but if Im paying the bill for my kids education (which I am), I have the right to be involved in and informed of everything everything! youre teaching him, and there isnt a snowballs chance in Texas Im signing a form forfeiting that right.

The problem is around 50 years old, when the teachers were first unionized.
Honestly, I’m not sure if hiring a college grad or someone with a 5th grade education is that much different anymore.
I can’t believe how illiterate and without knowledge many college grads I know are.
Keep children away from public school teachers!
Parents are responsible for the edumacation of their kids.
Period. Full Stop.
It’s hard to turn the kid into a Nazi when the parent is right there listening.....
I know one thing and that is OUR high school education from the 70s is FAR BETTER than a college education of today that is a FACT!!!
Bingo
Given a second chance, I’d rather go to Gitmo than let my kid go to public school.
How dare you tell me what I can or can’t do in my own home..THIS IS NOT NAZI GERMANY.....Force them to admit parents are welcome....
definitely
Well I started high school in 1982 but it’s not that far off.
put cameras in the classroom
The parents should go to the school and drag these assholes out by their hair. I can imagine how bad these lessons are if they have to hide them from the parents. These people better wake up and stop paying for their children to be brainwashed into hating themselves, their parents and their country.
I went back to college a few years ago and I was stunned how stupid these kids are
He sat on a think tank at Harvard dealing with the teaching of reading.
Our "professional educators" have a way of taking the simple and making it insanely complex.
We were discussing the method we used to teach reading, from school books from 1830 to 1850.
He couldn't believe we were seeing the results we were.
I brought in our daughter, who was in third grade of homeschooling.
He tested her and found her to be at least at 2nd year college level for reading and comprehension.
I told him we didn't just prove she was a good reader.
We just proved our nation in in deep crap if that was second year college level.
1. That very cool.
and 2. lol
My parents were in school 50-60 years ago. Dad says they were encouraged to donate to the March of Dimes, and to buy bonds. They were urged to support the Peace Corps, and the state of Israel was much admired by liberal teachers. Mom had a teacher who had marched for women’s suffrage and never let anyone forget it.
Fortunately I was homeschooled. :)
As someone who gave up a lot, and was richly rewarded, Ill say that parents GAVE AWAY control of education.
Most of us could have sacrificed to home or private school. All of us could have at least untaught some of the worst that public school teaches. None of us had to send our kids to bad universities to major in foolish things.
The good news is we can take it back and the lockdowns May be accelerating this movement.
“Parents have lost control of their children’s education”
No Shiite. Anyone with HALF A BRAIN knew this at least 50 years ago.
