Anyways, Colostrum is expensive, but as mentioned, may very well help those with the above mentioned conditions, and might just have a protective effects against flu, and possibly Covid as well? (Not sure about the last part at this point- will have to look into it further)
Colostrum seems to be very well tolerated in folks not allergic to milk- not sure what an effective dose would be- soem articles state 1 gram 1-2 times a day, some say as little as 400 mg, some as high as 60 grams- but that would be cost prohibitive to many- The study in the article used only 400 mg once a day- I've seen other studies for bowel issues and upper respiratory infections mention taking about 6 grams a day- I've also seen articles state that athletes take about 10-20 grams a day, but again, this can be expensive-
Where do they get it?.....................
forgot to mention, colostrum appears to have a healing effect on intestinal diseases, and clams down Citokine issues so that the body doesn’t keep attacking itself- from what I’ve been reading- which if this is the case, might be beneficial for covid- though again, not sure at this point- apparently colostrum both boosts immune system (which is important in preventing things like flu from taking over strongly in a body, and also calms Citokine, which is what causes health issues in people that get immune compromised conditions, and in folks who get things like Covid- from what i gather, the body begins attacking itself due to overactive immune system and high amount of Citokines? If so, it seems the trick would be to both boost immune system, and prevent the body’s immune system from going haywire, and attacking itself- It is claimed that Colostrum can accomplish this-
Kefir is easier to find and much cheaper.
