FB and the rest of its ilk have gone away from being a public platform and Congress needs to pass the legislation removing their “free to do whatever because they are a private entity” and label them as a publisher. It was cute when they took care of the problem children but this has tipped over the meter to beyond insanity against the right.
As to people who just say build your own system, yes let us see you build your own system, market it and come up with the capital to fund it for at least 10 years. There have been those that have tried and have gone by the wayside because FB isn’t just censoring what is on its pages. Startups are founded with the very notion that they will be bought out by larger companies. This is a free market and they can do that but a monopoly is against the law in the USA, for the very reason FB and other SM display.
