The problem is that FaceBook is so ubiquitous, that it's almost impossible to not use it (even if you don't have an account). Many companies don't have a website, they just have a Facebook page. Stupid. So if you want to do anything with them, you have to hit Facebook.

Hell, even the military (kinda) is like this. I went to Grand Prairie Reserve Center last week, since my CAC expired and I need a new one. The guy that runs the DEERS office there is a contractor, and the only way he puts out official information for the site is through Facebook posts... Since the CAC encoding system was down nationwide, the only way to know it's up and he can do cards again is to check his Facebook page. Because there is no military official website for the location! WTF!
