Apple today hit a market value of $2 trillion, doubling in valuation in just over two years.
Apple, the first publicly traded U.S. company to reach a $1 trillion market cap, is now the first publicly traded U.S. company to reach a $2 trillion market cap.
Apple first reached a $1 trillion market cap on August 2, 2018.
On July 31, 2020, Apple surpassed the state oil giant Saudi Aramco to become the worlds most valuable publicly traded company.

Oooh, $498.15 bid, $498.28 ask (shows 400 vs 500) in aftermarket, trading range during normal market hours was $22.47. Of course, that would all be a slow day on the Maalox Roller Coaster, but I’ve already got a cardiologist and my primary care doc wants to see my twice a year now. I feel so special.
Sez here that of the 190.6 point gain on the Dow 30, about 123 points were from AAPL’s up move.
Wow, and the volume for the day was about 82 million, and the postmarket volume has been about 2 million, astounding.

The premarket had a little crevasse but got right through it. Up $13.50 or so right now off the Friday close, so, not bad.
