The first quake, measuring magnitude 4.4, struck at 8:09 a.m. and was centered about 34 miles east of San Vicente, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
About 20 minutes later, a magnitude 5.1 temblor struck 54 miles east of Maneadero, followed by earthquakes measuring 4.1 an 4.3, according to USGS.

Just what California doesn’t need at a time like this: dual 7+ magnitude earthquakes, one near Los Angeles and the other in the Bay Area.
I don’t need a big one while driving home through the canyon. At least it would be quick.

I read that the part of the San Andreas thru the Salton Sea and desert around that area has been locked for a very long time.
When that part unzips it could travel the full length of the fault and screw San Diego, LA, and SF really bad.
