Early voting is nonsense. How is it constitutional?

Interestingly, my wife who’s a D just received her mail in ballot application this week. On the other hand, my son, who’s a libertarian, and myself, an R haven’t received anything.
Probably, they’re just going alphabetically, by party registration...

Early voting was always a bad idea. Apart of the dumbing down of the electrate. Id you can’t both to hear all of the arguments until election day maybe choosing the leader isn’t your thing.

Just do it on a Saturday. Early voting only on the Friday for seniors and vets. You must be present. If it’s that important quit your job. National holiday would be ok.

Everyone should be voting at basically the same time. A week seems reasonable, but 45+ days?

The way voting has changed since the Civil War is what is killing the country.

Inaccurate.
Colorado has early voting, and I’ve been voting in person for decades.

Missouri N/A

I too think a national holiday would be good. Most every place I ever worked was fine with people taking off early to go vote. I work from home and our polling place is 4 miles up the road, most of it gravel road. They do it in the volunteer fire house. Bunch of old women run it. Voted in the primary last week and one woman had a mask on her chin. The rest didn’t have masks.

The benefits of moving to a rural red state have really started to show this year. I’ve had a mask on for a total of 10 minutes this year, when I went to a small walmart the other day to grab one item.

It’s gotten ridiculous. September 4th starts early voting in North Carolina. People need two months, really? Soon early voting will start the day after inauguration.

Yes. What if something major happens a week before the election?

Early voting disenfranchises people.

I’ve seen what happens to a state, after hordes of psychopaths find out about its old fashioned, tranquil communities, freedoms and honest people. The ruin is shocking in short order.

Psychopaths not long descended from other nations move in by the millions from the fringes of the U.S.A., buying up all of the land and pushing the native residents into homelessness with regulations that lead to bribery regimes and many other crimes. Corruption saturates nice communities very quickly.

We’d be better off, if the Internet hadn’t expanded to general use.

A week I can see, especially with Covid. But 2 months is insanity.

As long as NO votes are counted until ALL eligible votes have been received, I have no problem with early voting.
