Have you ever had a mouse problem in your house?
I have a friend who rents a room in some big house...The house is in a big city...
His landlord put some mouse traps in the kitchen area...
My friend saw a mouse on a trap...It was a sticky trap...A mouse was stuck on it...It was not dead yet...
He lived at that house for several years...He never saw his landlord using mouse traps before...
” life’s lesson learned on how to treat vermin. “
Says it all.
Yes, but only in California. Everything causes cancer in California.
There’s never only one mouse.
Had a cat that was raising a ruckus outside meowing loudly.
There on the front step were five mice, laid out in a neat row. The cat was walking back and forth meowing . She would sit on top of a neighbors shed and drop down on unsuspecting rodents. Odd thing though, the same cat couldnt catch a bird .
hollow point or full metal jacket, both should be effective.
I sweep it into the dustpan and put it in the trash.

This is worlds best trap. I have 2. I just empty it into the woods and reset
I use “ Just one Bite,” EPA banned the best stuff I used to use, But this seems to do the job, Glen,
Try cutting irish spring soap into quarters and stash them in cupboards. Mice can’t stand the smell. Then clean up and seal in containers all food sources. They will have stashed grain and food in the walls. Your mouse problem will leave when they run out of food.
Mean while kill all you can to reduce the curve.
Always handle them only on the "Victor" end to avoid mashing your fingers.
My only bait is chocolate chips. "Nestle Toll House" chips are the best. (Don't use Ghirardelli. Mice ignore them.) Slide the chip into the bait holder from the side so the teeth hold them.
I have several traps in our big 'shed' where I store the riding mower and my other toys. I have a tally sheet on the wall. Every winter they like to build nests everywhere in the mower engine compartment. What a pain.
If I forget to check the traps for a few days, the black ants eat the dead mouse. I pick the trap up and dozens of them swarm out and I can stomp on most of them. It's fun trying to get all of them. Thanks for the help dead mouse!
You need to find out where they get in, there is an endless supply of vermin outside. I like traps, poison may leave you with a stinky dead mouse hidden somewhere in the wall. They can enter through the smallest of openings, around pipes, under doors etc.
snap traps better
Our dearly departed cat had ZERO interest in mice. Our new cat started sitting in front of areas she hears mice, about 2 weeks ago, when at least one got in the house, but thus far,has caught none.
Of course there is a trade off as some people find the presence of deadly pit vipers in the house to be a bit problematic.
problem with a critter that goes away to die can mean odors coming from within walls.
