The Twin Peaks chain has been hit with a federal lawsuit by 34 former 'breastaurant' employees claiming sexual harassment, multiple forms of discrimination and the 'sexual exploitation of young women'.
The lawsuit, filed Thursday in the US District Court for Northern District of Illinois, seeks a jury trial while also claiming that the restaurant chain is 'run very much like a commercial sex ring, torn from a pimp's playbook.'
Twin Peaks is a sports bar and restaurant chain which promises eats, drinks and 'scenic views', served up by scantily-clad women. The restaurant beckons patrons with the slogan: 'Welcome to the lodge, MANTALITY.'

I can see their points.
No fun.
No fun.
I certainly dont go to Twin Peaks for the food.
Something tells me some unemployed waitresses are looking for an angle to score some cash.
If the thermostat is set low enough.
no way ladies!!! You had to know when you took the job. Go work at Chik Fil A if you don’t want to wear a bikini to work
Uhhh yeah???? Isnt it universally understood that their entire business plan revolves around skimpily dressed hot chicks? Now youre shocked you were graded on your hotness? Duh.
It would be like pro football players saying they graded us on how fast we can run! *sniffle*
Not to be confused with their spring break attire of wet tee shirts, twerking booty thongs, or piercings posted on Facebook, however?
When I got the job cleaning the barn no one told me I would be shoveling manure.
Thank you for keeping us abreast of this situation as it develops.
If you read the whole article there’s a lot more to this story and there are actual violations of basic employee rights and laws.
I’m all for capitalism but abuse of people is another story The Situation it’s not that simple.
I would suggest reading the entire article before commenting and not just picking and choosing. Ignoring basic laws of employment and making fun of employees who files suit is not a conservative perspective
Attorneys for the restaurant filed a response to the suit: Well, duh.
Nobody forced them to work there. And what’s the difference between them and NFL cheerleaders, Hooter’s Girls, ...
I bet the tips were good.
I'd like to keep abreast of the news on this.
I'd imagine there will be a Decoupling from the marketing firm
Several years ago ended up with my wife and kids in a University town - homecoming weekend. EVERY place for dinner was a huge wait.
We ended up at a Hooters. I’m guessing the wait wasn’t as long due to the wives not liking the atmosphere for their younger kids visiting Timmy at College.
I jokingly complained to my wife and kids. All of the waitresses were wearing flannel shirts! I think one gal had it tied up so you could see her belly button. I’m guessing they toned it down a bit seeing all the families with children. Or - maybe that’s how they always dressed, being Montana and all!
The inappropriate touching, catcalling and propositioning should have been addressed by management. Some guys, and I suppose today some women, will take license if they believe it’s allowed. But the dress code and physical standards argument are going to be hard to make. When you walked in for your interview and were shown the “normal” outfit you knew what was expected. Twin peaks and Hooters don’t hire Ashley Graham types. They are looking for skinny girls with big boobs, real or fake, who are willing to dress seductively and be girl next door, coyly friendly with the clientele, while slinging mediocre food and watered down drinks.
I’m guessing we have some unemployed economic Covid victims, in a blue state, looking to get some rent money.
Hooter had the best wings.
