This exactly, you work for a place called Twin Peaks, or even Hooters??? I never go to these places, I myself think the entire concept is demeaning to women, and although I love a good rack, just don’t go. But if you’re a woman and apply and work there. WHAT DID YOU EXPECT.
..............over my near 50 year career, I’ve employed hundreds of people. Somewhere around 25 years ago, I realized the “liability’ and “risk” in hiring attractive women. This lawsuit reinforces my thinking back then. The day will come when attractive women will find it difficult to get hired thanks to lawsuits like this and Gretchen Carlson’s and scores, if not hundreds of others.

Don’t care. If they didn’t like working there, they had the right to quit.
The only “employee rights” that should have validity are the right to be paid for work performed, the right to quit, and the right to not be put into physical danger unless the danger is explained and agreed to at the start of employment.
Ignoring basic laws of employment and making fun of employees who files suit is not a conservative perspective
Actually. it is that simple.
The basic law of employment is that a job is a contract between the employer and the employee. The employee agrees to sell his labor (whatever it maybe) in exchange for payment (whatever that maybe).
Any other arbitrary rules instituted by government are extra.
There is no slavery in this country. The employee is free to leave at any time (barring contractual obligations).
As others have said the conditions of employment as a waitress at this restaurant are obvious. I did read the article and I still do not see that a lawsuit is appropriate.
If a waitress did not want to go to a costume party wearing a bikini, don’t go. If she was worried about repercussions of not going, get like minded waitresses to join her in not going or wearing other attire.
Being banished to the less trafficked areas of the restaurant is not a problem if you are a good waitress. I (a male) waited tables in my youth to earn college money, I can tell you if you are good at it, regulars will seek you out, ask for you by name. You will still earn tips.
As for feely managers, if this is a sizable chain and they have not trained their supervision the consequences of sexual harassment they have a stupid senior management team and are paying too much for their corporate lawyer staff.
Lawsuits are not necessary. First step is complain to whomever is above the person harassing you. If that is ineffective you can file a complaint with Human Resources. I that is ineffective then you can go to the EEOC.
These waitresses may get some lose change out of this suit, but you can bet that the lawyers will get the bulk of any settlement and they will still probably be working somewhere else.
Several years ago ended up with my wife and kids in a University town - homecoming weekend. EVERY place for dinner was a huge wait.
We ended up at a Hooters. I’m guessing the wait wasn’t as long due to the wives not liking the atmosphere for their younger kids visiting Timmy at College.
Probably wasn’t that. Hooters just isn’t popular anymore. They’ve had serious financial problems, been sold and closed a bunch of restaurants.
Rules. I thought there were rules here. How are We The Freeper Jury supposed to render a verdict without evidence?

Years ago, when angry, ugly, Feminists were marching through the streets here, I was in Singapore for a bit of ‘relief’ and looked at their want-ads. They had one (at least) that said something like “Chinese Female Receptionist needed”, for some business (obviously). In other words, Malays and Indians need not apply.
Rather than being ‘flabbergasted’, my thought was that it made perfect sense. Why let these other gals apply if you’re not going to hire them...just a waste of everyone’s time.
