I was wondering what kind of contract it was if the bike shop is not bound in any way and can just cancel.
True that! One of my sons works for Trek as a lead mechanic in a flagship store. It's not just the fifty bike sales that the idiots in Austin, TX are missing out on, Austin PD spends big bucks getting those bikes maintained as well. My son who works for Trek says it's really the maintenance that brings in the $$$ to Trek's stores.
And Trek doesn't work on the junk bikes people buy from WalMart, Target, etc.. beyond fixing a flat tire. They don't do it because the repairs/adjustments often cost more than the junk bikes themselves.
As the owner of a vintage Trek 1100 full aluminum road bike circa 1992, that was just funny as hell.
How would that even be a contract then and why would you sign something that says that the other party can back out any time they feel like for whatever reason they wish?
A lawsuit on a platter....
You cannot break ANY contract on such worries or thoughts.
Judge Judy would have a field day with this one.
I made the mistake of buying a tube with a Presta. Ended up throwing it away and getting a tube with an American valve on it.
Damn right they were.......Armstrong was pursued relentlessy by the US anti doping agency because he was an American. All the Europeans got a pass because they were Europeans and exempt from the American agency's scrutiny........
The shop owner had to switch out the front wheel on another bike he sold, so he gave me a BIG discount.
I haven't had any problems, but what you posted is still just plain funny.
And right there is where the layoffs need to start.
"Sorry, that contract brought in a lot of revenue."
Woke former employees meet reality face to face...

Mellow Johnny, the Wonder Weenie.
Mellow Yellow Bikes.
As in yellow journalism readers.
No thanks!
I’m going out on a limb here and saying those three will be the first to go when cuts in personnel begin.
Bump
Another reason not to bother with bicycle police.
Sue them out of business for breach of contract.
What happened to the American spirit of I'll do as I please, independence, free will, individualism, and flat out orneriness?
Someone should glue Trump stickers all over his building for him
Interestingly, the Schrader valve is American in geographical location, German in biographical background, and used for almost all tires...cars, bikes, etc. a very long time ago.
Presta are French and only for bikes. I highly suspect they arose and more importantly prospered because of the increasing insanity regarding bikes as serious transportation (usually by bike guys who cant stop exercising that way either).
Very likely, but also possible its an attempt to deflect.
As in, Please Dont Hurt Me to the woke employees thug pals.
There are some really really stupid people!
