This is a nicer story than the last thousand or so that I’ve read.
Very unusual, but I can appreciate and support this kind on unusual.
Cute story, thanks for posting.
They are going to get #Cancelled, for a lot of reasons, I’m sure.
Not sure how I feel about a German guy who pines for the good old days of the 1930s. At least I didn’t see any arm bands in the pics.
I worked with a lady once who loved everything 1940’s..Her hair, makeup, dress, everything took you back to the 40’s
If they really want to respect the era, they should marry each other.
Gorgeous clothes. (How far we’ve fallen, huh? Tights and baggy tunics.)
In some photos she has an Angelina Jolie look.
Reminds me of “Reviewbrah”.
There’s a couple whose entire lifestyle and dress are Victorian era:

Ah, the 1920’s and 1930’s when men looked like men and women didn’t.
If you look at films from the 30s you’ll see that just about everyone in the cities wore a suit or dress when they were out and about. My mother, this was in the 50s and 60s, never left the house to even go grocery shopping with out a dress on. It was a sign of respect for self and others. The hippie craze of the 70s destroyed that. Now apparently being a slob is the norm.
This modern-day Bertie Wooster should beware of the traps laid by the fairer sex; a few of the stories written by Plum will wise him up, or he should seek out advice from a wise uncle named Jeeves.
What a handsome couple, and a nice story. Thanks for posting it. As the saying goes "a real day brightener".
She looks like Lily Tomlin.
One Ringy Dingy, Two Ringy Dingy (then snort).
My earliest childhood memories were of the old people at church still dressing like this. Very dignified. And appropriately binary!
I love watching movies from the twenties and (early) thirties. Love the clothes, the cars, the attitude. Guys who put on a suit and tie to go rob a bank. :)
A couple of years ago I toured the Queen Mary cruise ship in Long Beach. A couple was at the front desk registering to stay there. They were young adults in their 20s, dressed in period attire. It was picture perfect. Sorry I dont know where that picture is...
