Just heard on the Weather Channel that there are 2.6 million power outages from NC to NY. Ugly!
No article link.
Tight now we're in the thick of it here in upstate NY. Barely raining, light winds. frankly if the golf course wasn't saturated I'd go play nine.
Boo-hoo...man; the Chinese are going to eat our lunch.
Why can’t it be hurricane Bob?
Remember all the whining after Sandy....Now we will hear it with twice the social media and from folks who have been locked up for five months.
[[Sigh]]
Who to the what?
Folks should take you seriously when you don't even know the name?
Isaiaiasas? Really?
We had a 7 mile long tornado yesterday. There were clouds, but no rain.
The tornado warnings go out to general areas. Its a matter of the “conditions” existing.
When you get rotation in the clouds, it will trigger the excitement.
Tornadoes have nothing to do with rain on the ground.
Buddy in Ridgewood, NJ, has trees and power lines down. Trapped on his street.
I hope not!!!
Stay safe, FReepers!!
Are you PP&L?
The humor of broadcasters and reporters mis-pronouncing and butchering the name escapes you.
That’s OK because everyone knows that misanthrope Texas homos don’t have a sense of humor.
Gotta watch the weather channel, they’ve been known to stretch the truth a bit. Just yesterday they were reporting it was at 8t mph but their own on screen graphic was showing wind gusts from ocean bouts at no higher that 40 mph. Still tryin’ to figure that one out.
85 mph
Isaias
Nope. Met-Ed.
So you’re rather west of Philly too.
We had plenty of rain, and the lights blinked once, but no Thunder, or lightning, or Tornados.
We live in Robeson County, which is right below Cumberland County were Fayetteville is, and though the eye of the hurricane (85 mph) went right by us, we never lost power. In fact, glory to God, we didn’t even have branches down or water standing in the yard.
Others in North Carolina had it much rougher, losing their homes and a couple of them their lives.
Those badly affected are in our prayers.
Mostly North. When Hurricane Sandy happened 8 years ago, half the town got power back early, and half the town was without power 5 days later. The eastern half of my town is on PP&L, and the western half of my town in on Met-Ed.
