Activists and social justice organizations are celebrating the history of Black resistance this month in what's known as Black August.
This year's commemoration follows months of ongoing nationwide protests over systemic racism and the killings of Black people at the hands of police.
And no, it's not a second Black History Month.
"Welcome to Black August — a month dedicated to learning about Black revolutionaries and honoring their struggle against white supremacy, colonialism, capitalism, and imperialism," the Movement for Black Lives, a coalition of more than 150 leaders and groups, tweeted on Saturday. "Today, we follow in the footsteps of Black radicals in the fight for liberation."

Well, you got Black History Month — which starts on MLK’s birthday in mid-January and peters out sometime in mid-March.
You got Juneteenth, which is probably our most sacred national holiday.
And now you have Black August.

This is just meant to gin up more rage in the black community, and more guilt in the white community. “Remember this? Huh? Huh? Remember? Remember?”

Nah. BLM is pulled out every four years for presidential elections and Memorial Day weekend is the prime time for it as the unofficial start of summer.
But this time around it is clearly part of a coordinated insurgency intended to at the very least build on the pandemic hoax to thwart Trump’s reelection, assure high levels of compliance for the tech/vaccine lockdown and knockdown of our population, and if possible bring down the US outright.
Y’all just wait until the muslim population get up to about 10%. The muslim holds absolutely no loyalty to the USA and does not feel as constrained as the non-muslim population regarding murder and mayhem. To the koranimals a win is a win no matter how achieved. And a loss to a superior opponent is considered a win also.
The muslim plays the long game. Right now they are breeding like field rats, doing all they can to increase their population.

They’d do much better dedicating the month to learn about blacks who honored capitalism and were successful because of that.
Chicago and all the other blue shore cities celebrate that every weekend and some weekdays too....
....I was never any kind of “ist” - racist, communist, socialist, pacifist, or whatever, but I am almost where
you are now....I’m sick and tired of being identified as some sort of racist simply because I am white....if this is the way the black (NOT with a capitalized ‘b’) population wants to see us, fine....but the overwhelming majority of the white American population is NOT racist....!!
I looked at every page on my calendar and I can’t find a White history month what gives?.
