Ten teachers unions, the Democratic Socialists of America, and other groups are organizing a National Day of Resistance to protest for demands including no reopening of schools, police-free schools, and a “massive infusion” of federal funds while banning new charter schools.
Over 20 cities across the United States are scheduled to have protests tomorrow, including Chicago, Dallas, New York City, and Los Angeles. Prominent teachers unions are supporting the “actions” including the Chicago Teachers Union and United Teachers Los Angeles.
The list of other demands include: “Police-free schools”, “Moratorium on new charter or voucher programs and standardized testing,” and a “Massive infusion of federal money to support the reopening funded by taxing billionaires and Wall Street.”

Hmmm... Kinda sounds like their demands are for their benefit and not the kids. But that simply can’t be true!
Defund teacher’s union/teachers....send back our property tax payments. Come on, GOP, go on offense.
Fire them all. We need competition in education to allow our children to reach their full potential. Unions have long put the enrichment of their members ahead of the educational needs of our youth.

Teachers requesting to leave the union are to be drawn and quartered with their heads hung above the school doors as a warning to other teachers.
The more I see what the NEA demands, the truer Bastiat’s words are: “The most urgent necessity is not that the state should teach, but that it should allow education. All monopolies are detestable, but the worst of all is the monopoly of education.”
The groups getting banned will be public school teachers if they kerp this crap up. Parents will find a way to homeschool, even if it means hiring private tutors

Yes, exactly. Do rank-and-file teachers really support police-free and discipline-free schools? They are the ones who come face to face with violence and discipline problems.
