Trump is talking less about elections being rigged / voter fraud because the polls are flipping.

States completely written off, like Minnesota, are trending Trump.

Hence the change in messaging.

You don't hear Trump campaign saying as much about voter fraud.

Don't need to.— Cernovich (@Cernovich) August 29, 2020

Just had a long conversation with my daughter that lives in Ventura, planning on moving to Wisconsin. My granddaughter, going to UCLA now, apparently is all in on the BLM movement. She told me the worst decision she ever made in her life was moving back to California and having her kids go to school there.
There may be hope for my grandsons. It breaks my heart to hear how militant my granddaughter has become. I was there last Christmas but we didn’t really talk about politics or anything.
And my daughter is not a political person either but at least she sees common sense.

A big wraparound porch sounds lovely.

If she’s planning on kids or anything, she may want to rethink the open floor plan. At least not to have the bedrooms right off of the living room like this house has. That’s the reason we haven’t bought it yet, and we don’t even have kids! But there would be no Rooms To Go to for privacy or quiet. So if we buy this house we have to put an addition on it that would include a kitchen and a living room. I hate having the kitchen right in the living room with no separation. I guess I’m a 70s girl type of house person, I like all my rooms separate.

Good to know about the sky lights! That might be a lovely thing to put in the addition we do. And clever idea to hang something separating the rooms. I still can’t visualize exactly what you mean. The problem with this house is it has an open floor plan because the rooms are also small. Putting anything between them would just emphasize the tininess. Is that a word? I think the only fix is to put in an addition to separate the rooms and make one of them bigger. We still can’t figure out where the 2000 square feet is. It sure doesn’t seem that big. But we measured the basement and it is. You would think an open floor plan would make it seem bigger than it is instead of smaller

A glassed-in porch for Greenhouse, yes yes yes! I’ve always wanted a greenhouse, I have a little baby one I put up each spring but it would be nice to have it permanent. And yes wouldn’t it be lovely to sit out there and read? I’ve also heard that greenhouses do a great job of keeping the house warm in the winter.

Ice cream for dinner, are we bad influences on each other? Lol!

How fun that you went salmon fishing. I can’t imagine catching something so big. But I can understand why the bears in Alaska love fishing. And I am now forced to have salmon at least once a week. Because it’s incredibly good for the eyes. Well not for vision, but for the omega-3 oils. Which help with keeping eyes moist. So I have a great excuse to spend $7.99 a pound! One of my favorite dishes with salmon is salmon risotto. I had it in San Francisco once and have been recreating it since.

How do you ladies cook your salmon?

I guess after smoking it you don’t have to do much else, lysie. My husband has a smoker, I can’t believe we haven’t figured out to smoke salmon yet! Going to have to do that soon.

That’s too bad about your granddaughter’s changing. Maybe it is just a phase she is going through to get along & feel like she fits in.

I remember when I went there, I would have arguments all the time with others. Back then you could have discussions/arguments without hating or wanting to guillotine anybody. You just had another beer & moved on.

The entire school system from K to College is just an indoctrination camp anymore.

Luckily my daughter never changed when she went to UCSD. She even joined the College Republicans. She shared an apartment with a girl, who they are still fiends, was an illegal immigrant. That girl would get everything paid for, while my daughter had to work & take out loans. It really chapped my daughter’s (and mine) hide. They would get into it every once in a while, but lived together 2 years & still remain friendly.

So many good ways to cook salmon. My favorite is blackened, but other options are wonderful too!
