Former NFL All-Pro Dana Stubblefield has been convicted of raping a developmentally disabled woman.
A jury in Santa Clara, California found Stubblefield guilty on Monday of rape by force, oral copulation by force and false imprisonment. The jury determined he used a gun in the act.
He was found not guilty on a third charge of rape of a person incapable of giving consent.
Stubblefield faces 15 years to life in prison after the conviction.
Woman showed up for a babysitting interview
Prosecutors argued that Stubblefield lured the 31-year-old woman to his California home in 2015 through a babysitting website. She went to his home under the presumption of a job interview.
According to prosecutors, the woman left after a 20-minute interview, but returned when Stubblefield texted her with the promise to pay her for her mileage and her time. Thats when prosecutors say Stubblefield raped her. The woman reported the crime to police after the attack, and DNA evidence was collected.

If true it’s a sad icky story.

This story will go nowhere.
Well, Dana, was it worth losing your family, your freedom and your reputation? Some people are just so unbelievably stupid they don’t deserve to share air with the rest of us.
It is a sad icky story no matter what. 1st of all, a big money guy does not have consensual sex with a nanny interview. With a hooker, yes. Not a job seeker. 2nd, A big money guy should go to a nanny agency to set up a list of prospective interviews. 3rd, the woman texted 20 times to get money. And the trial lasted 9 months...and the incident happened in 2015?! All just too weird. I do not know what happened. Bad judgment by both parties.
Something doesn’t sound right. Do rape victims typically make calls to the perpetrator after the crime?
I am constantly amazed how people who have everything that they could ever need for a marvelous life can willfully ruin it all.
The jury was not convinced.
She was developmentally disabled so her understanding of what happened to her will be different.

I think families and representatives of ALL disabled people in the us ought to burn down his house then move on to the community at large....etc.
It IS the way to send a message and demand change, right?
And we used to hand horse thiefs.
