Seattle city councilmember Kshama Sawant decried “the brutality of capitalism” after a judge blocked the city’s ban on police crowd-control tools such as tear gas and pepper spray, declaring that the Friday ruling threatened “peaceful protesters.”
“Rather than ensure that peaceful protestors are kept safe from federal agents, this court ruling reveals the brutality of American capitalism readying its full arsenal of weapons to attempt to violently suppress demonstrations,” said Ms. Sawant in a Saturday press release.

Seattle has been billed as the first U.S. city to prohibit a wide array of crowd-control methods under the ordinance, which passed June 15 and was sponsored by Ms. Sawant.
She said it was needed “after the city’s police - under the watch of Democratic establishment Mayor Jenny Durkan - had viciously used the weapons repeatedly against the Black Lives Matter protests.”

In her statement, Ms. Sawant called for “continued peaceful resistance.”
“We will need continued peaceful resistance to send the courts a clear message that our movement demands its right to protest without being met by the heavily-armed forces of militarized police prepared and planning to inflict harm,” she said.

I recall the news in 54 or so when Ike rounded up the Mexicans and deported them. He wanted jobs for Vets back from Korea.
The “peaceful protestors” are the human shields for the brick-frozen water bottle-fireworks throwers. The PP surround the violent crew. The PPs are up front in rows so the police can’t shoot bean bags at or mace the people throwing things. This renders the cops unable to counter the rioters’ weapons. The PPS will gang up on police that break line by getting close and shoving but not hitting with any weapons. They just get in the way as much as possible.
The strategy is well planned and very well executed. The police don’t really have an answer (that they are allowed to use) for it yet.

The key is identifying the leaders _before_ the demonstrations happen and get them out of action, even if it is for minor violations...
In places where Antifa is out every night, that should not be difficult.

There’s lots more commie hellholes in the world - more people are enslaved under communism than live in free societies.
So if antifa brats want to live in a communist county, Trump should be willing to provide a free one-way ticket to the ‘dream country of their choice’ - - as long as they give up American citizenship before getting on the plane.
Hell, we could even throw in an extra thousand bucks so they can have a few nice dinners when they get there...

You have to remember that Seattle is a liberal bastion of far left single dendrite inhabitants. It has alway been to the left, even back at the turn of the 20th Century when the International Workers of the World has some prominence. It is just that this present generation is more deviant with the drugs and sexual proclivities.
What can you say about an electorate that would put this creature in office?
I think Seattle presents America with a great LEARNING opportunity that they missed growing up in Unionized schools. Just let them burn and murder each other until they get tired of it and vote for some folks with a brain.
Meantime, thousands will move out, business will go to hell and the tax base will crater. With no police, or few police, they’ll love it! Right?????

Agree. I recall that many known Lesbians and Fags moved to Seattle. I was sent back to finish my degree in 70-72. I had three SF pals. Both my best friend and I could not believe the 3rd one rarely was with a gal or he never got married. He failed out and was RIF in 72. He became a full Colonel in the Washington NG and lives in Seattle.

I assume they are doing that but the strategy is easy once it’s been done, no need for any obvious directing. They are getting away with it night after night, in city after city. Many videos show the same basic thing going on.
They should be coming in with a second force in riot gear that outflanks them and arrests the throwers.
But we aren’t there, so we are just yakking with no skin in the game. And the police are restricted as to what they are allowed to do. This is to make sure the protestors can’t be stopped. It’s amazing if citizens in these cities aren’t figuring this out, they should be outraged.
Good point...And Obama, now that I think of it, was elected despite the fact he was a nobody with nothing going for him except being the product of a corrupt political machine that put him into the senate. Liberals don’t think; they emote.
