I’m not sure that he needed a motive when he already had 230 arrests. People like that are just psychopaths. If you breathe in the wrong direction, they’ll come after you.
Kind of nuts if you ask me. Frostproof is a small town in orange grove country and the name comes out of the belief that it never freezes there because of the warmth from lakes in the area that keep the temperature from freezing. Apparently that isn’t true as freezes have done terrible damage to the Florida orange crops and Frostproof has not live up to its name.

The motive was that the killer (the older brother) had bought a truck from one of the victims and thought that the victim has cheated him on it ... the younger brother was in line at a local office and heard the victim telling the clerk (it’s a small town and they all know each other) where he was going fishing that night. He told the older brother - the one with 230 felonies - and now three innocent people are dead.
Florida does have the death penalty and does carry it out.

Governor Bush (Florida) set up the prison where my gym buddy worked. It was a special prison where people with just six months left to go are sent. An effort is made to prepare them for reentering society. This includes classes, seminars, resume help, how to interview, how to dress, etc. Bush’s intention was to do something about the very high recidivism. I asked the guard if it had worked. He snorted out a laugh, saying, “No.” His take on why was it mostly involved drugs. He said, that they wanted drugs and that was their only concern, getting high. They didn’t give a dam about anything else.

Oh, no. He "only" has 15 convictions and two stints in prison.
Seriously though, how does he have 233 felony charges and only 15 convictions? Activist judges? This needs to be looked at.
