It proved just how fast our formerly free Republic can be brought down if we ignore the enemy within. Took just a few months to take down the economy, then allow the marxists, fascists and anarchists free rein to loot, destroy and burn down our cities as the complicit democrat mayors and governors order the police to stand down as they urge on the violence and mayhem.
Trump is the only thing standing between us and totalitarianism. A few more months of lockdown coupled with massive ballot fraud, and Trump is gone. And our Republic is no more.

How will we all react when society breaks down even further? No heat, no Air conditioning, no clean water, no food, no healthcare. Venezuela II.

And those of us with people around us to whom we have tried to talk about these prospects will be faced with being able to say, “I told you so.” but by then it will be way too late.

When all of this first happened, I believed that there must have been some reliable intelligence to cause great concern - on the part of the Chinese themselves (with all of their lying and cover-up); and by the PTB here, and to cause the President to create a task force and the entire country to essentially shut down.
Then I began to believe that, whatever the truth was, it all became over-hyped for the political purposes of some interests.
I don’t really know what to believe about the virus itself, now. I tend NOT to believe that it was ‘engineered’ (that is extremely complicated science) and ‘released’ to somehow destroy us. And if the Left decided that it was a good opportunity, that’s just their typical opportunism. They will seize upon anything, and this was unusually ripe, low-hanging fruit, available at a very serendipitous moment for them.
I am still personally acquainted with only one person whom I know has actually contracted it, suffered, and seems to have recovered from it as they would have done from the usual seasonal ‘flu; and I know of one who, by rumour, had a very difficult time lasting several weeks, but also recovered.
The kids need to be back in school. People need to go back to work. Elders and those with compromising health conditions need to take extra precautions to protect themselves.
I have no problem with mask-wearing, if it eases the concerns of others, and may help protect me in the slightest.
But I doubt you are going to get even conservatives to ‘unite’ upon one interpretation or another. We are all in different socio-economical, emotional/belief, and health-status positions.
In the end, even ideological Conservatives are like everyone else - alone inside of themselves, with their own fears and concerns.
It would be better to dwell upon whether or not one’s economic life has been better over Trump’s administration, or was better under Obama’s and the democrats. Money talks, bullshit walks. All Biden is spouting - when he actually emerges to spout - is bullshit.
