I just quit using Firefox today.
They added a new blurb at the bottom of a blank Firefox page.
It said: "We have a lot of work to do to dismantle systemic racism. One way to start is by listening to Black writers and thought leaders."
Then it had a link to "resources".

Of course none of the "resources" were black writers we know who disagree with the ideology and premises of "Black Lives Matter" and the Marxists backing them.
For now I will use Brave.
I'd like to switch but not at the cost of giving up the add-ons.
Thanks...I use AdBlock Plus on Safari. If I can’t access the newspapers that require me to turn it off beforehand, or require me to sign up for a subscription...they can take a hike. I can usually find the same story on another site without having to turn it off.
I use Firefox-and I only saw that crap once-at the bottom of the page, last week-I moved the cursor to the right corner of the box, clicked on the X that appeared there and it went poof-haven’t seen it since...
I tried that and still don’t see anything. Hmmmm..
I also have an Apple desk top and Safari is so slow, that’s why I have Firefox.
I’m a Brave user for over a year. No regrets, it’s a great browser. Now, if I could just get FR to take their BATs...
Email can also be setup to use two-factor authentication. You need an app on your phone like FreeOTP use use two-factor auth. It's not difficult to do. It makes access to my email account only possible if you have my phone and know the 12 digit pin. I don't use finger print or face recognition - both have flaws.
All this security starts at the device level. You should use BitLocker on Window 10 Pro to encrypt your hard drive. iPhones have encrypted storage by default. Samsung Android phones have the option of using a Knox secure folder, which is encrypted. You can move all your personal stuff/apps into the secure folder.
A good setup would go from encrypted HD/storage, thru an encrypted VPN channel. If you use Tor, you go through three servers, the client endpoint server knows your VPN IP addr, a middle server knows the client end point and a destination end point. The destination end point knows the site you want to go to, but does not know your IP, or even your VPN IP addr. All communications channels are encrypted. Your ISP will have no idea what you are doing as the VPN and TOR servers tunnel right through their network. Additionally, you can choose VPN servers that reside in other countries, which has the benefit of further hiding your location. I usually use a server based out of Northern VA.
And yes, this is how I post on FR, do banking, order things online, do email (both business and personal). My web browsing is also completely ad free with the Brave browser. One last thing, I use DuckDuckGo for a search engine. They don't store any information. My life is nearly Google free even though I have an Android phone. I don't miss Google one bit.
I use Brave.
JoMa
Because I will let somebody else decide my real love. So many stupid things are being said on this board today
“My life is nearly Google free even though I have an Android phone.”
How did you get google off your phone? Lineage OS or did you use some other strategy?
I got a smartphone a while back and installed Lineage OS. It has it’s quirks, but overall it seems to work pretty well. I’ve been playing around with it, but frankly I have never really been a cell phone person let alone a smartphone person, so I don’t carry it day to day.
Brave is being pressured to change its name??
Brave means courage.
Leftists do not own the language unless we give it to them.
Is there not anything we will fight for??
Same here. A lot of FREEPers did at the time. It was a pretty big deal here so Im surprised so many seem to still be using it. Must be a bunch of newbies. 🙂
Thanks for that recommendation. Will DEFINITELY do that!
I’m always willing to listen to Thomas Sowell or Walter Williams. I prefer to judge people by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin.
I think there should be a fight, and you should lead it
I do email, web browsing, voice calls, a little SMS and very rarely take a pic. Occasionally, I use the calculator and I use the clock/stopwatch/timer/alarm app. I don't do social media. I don't need GPS location services. I either know how where I am going or a I read a map. I try to do everything out of my Knox secure folder, which is completely Google free. The unsecure part of the phone I use for voice calls and SMS. My text messages generally read, "What time are you getting home from work?" "I don't know."
I've been to the Google Play store, I think that is what it called, only to download my VPN Client, FreeOTP, ProtonMail client, and Brave. No reason in the foreseeable future to go there again.
There are somethings Google on the phone that I can't get rid of. I just don't use them. So my strategy is delete as much as possible, segregate to a secure folder, and don't touch the useless stuff that I can't delete. The only Google service that I don't avoid is YouTube and that is generally for videos posted on FR. I don't use the app to go there and I never sign-in. So that makes me nearly Google free. I would be a pretty happy guy if I had a rotary phone.
? Not a search engine, a browser.
I fight the usurpation of the language on multiple sites.
I’m 100% behind you
I use FF exclusively and have not seen it. Perhaps your browser was hijacked.
