‘Sexist racist’: Pomona College alumni demand removal of Nobel laureate’s name from building
College Fix ^ | July 15, 2020 | Greg Piper

Robert Millikan’s name adorns buildings at Caltech, Pomona College and other institutions of higher education. He won the Nobel Prize in physics in 1923. And typical for a scientist of his time, he was a fan of eugenics and did not actively promote women in STEM fields. That’s reason enough to remove his name from a Pomona building with labs for physics, astronomy and math, according to a petition circulated among Pomona students, alumni and faculty, according to The Claremont Independent, which covers Claremont Consortium colleges including Pomona. The 1958 building was modernized in 2015.

Are the people who are signing the petition aware Margaret Sanger was motivated by eugenics and racism to push for abortion?

Eugenics and racism were taught everywhere in that timeframe.

They might as well just close all the universities if they want to eliminate their racist and eugenics roots.

Weird thing is, to my knowledge, Sanger didn’t promote abortion. Even she, a committed racist and eugenicist, thought abortion was barbaric.

Oh, I can't wait for them to get to her. That's when things will get real fun. Especially for those who have received the distinguished Margaret Sanger Award.

“And typical for a scientist of his time, he was a fan of eugenics and did not actively promote women in STEM fields.”

Just like Saint Margaret Sanger.

What did he do to promote Left-handed Laotian Lesbians in semiconductor physics?

The problem here is that Robert Milikan was a giant in field of physics. Does this mean we are going to have to cancel the study of physics because flaws in his character have now been discovered by the “woke” people of today?

That cannot be allowed to happen until the muslims take over. BJ Clinton’s wife is too important to be sullied by taking down Sanger’s sainthood.

Here they all are:

Today’s woke jokes wouldn’t know the first thing about physics anyway.

Or perhaps they would: “Dude, like DUH, I know all ABOUT gravity.”

Millikan came up with the electric charge of a electron. The guy was a serious scientist.

Pomona, for those rare times when Oberlin just isn’t Marxist enough.

Thank you. Somebody better take a screenshot of that before it gets totally scrubbed. I’m pretty sure Weird Owl Gore received the award but I didn’t see his name. Also, the 1999 recipient’s name is missing. I wonder if that is the year Gore “won” it.

Sanger was for abortion to rid society of the weeds such as blacks and poor. She said if you could convince the black ministers then they will get abortions. She was right.

China Lake Naval Weapons Center used to have a display about him. I don’t know if they still have it.

Her mindless defenders all respond with the same words:

“She was taken out of context!”

Come on, I expect first grade crap from the marshmallow majors, but certainly NOT from physics majors.
