On its Facebook page, the Huntsville location of Johnny Grylls restaurant says, Come on in, everyone welcome.
But owner Mike Heffelfinger is barring his doors to six state and local officials -- including Gov. Kay Ivey, Alabama State Health Officer Dr. Scott Harris and Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle -- because they say people in Alabama must wear face masks during the coronavirus pandemic.
Heffelfinger announced Wednesday that the officials are indefinitely banned from entering his location of Johnny Grylls, 6125 University Drive Northwest in Huntsville. In statements posted on the restaurants website and Facebook page, Heffelfinger said:
The following individuals are banned indefinitely from entering Johnny Grylls (Huntsville) restaurant:
This ban is in response to draconian health orders issued by the aforementioned individuals requiring most people to wear a mask in Madison County and ultimately all of Alabama. These orders create unnecessary stress, liability, and physical, mental and financial burdens on the restaurant and its employees.

Same in the 70’s when I visited my sister who was stationed in England.
Those cashiers just sat on their stools, rang up the order, took your money, and ignored you.
I feel that way just wearing my cowboy bandana for 30 minutes to do my grocery shopping. Plus it irritates my eyes from exhalations escaping past them.
Heffelfinger will get my family’s business!
I produced links to 8 studies each containing links to more studies. You produced one link to a study that didn’t study the effectiveness of masks.
Just the opposite. Someone leaves a fart in the aisle, it doesn't matter from which direction you walk into it. This one way aisle thing is just more theater and virtue signaling.
Fair enough.
That’s one spot, not a trail behind them like if they are constantly breathing out that you are walking through continually.
It’s one instantaneous exposure vs a continuous 20-30 minute exposure.
Walking behind someone and breathing in whatever they are exhaling is going to leave you a far greater exposure than passing through one isolated spot.
Scott Harris has his doctorate in art history.
I would ban all State and county employees.
Liberals must have weak minds. They felt comfortable marching around their demonstrations with no face masks. Now they feel masks are essential and demand that everyone wear them. How do they reconcile those two positions?

The ones our friend made stay in my wife’s vehicle on the dashboard in the sun with the windows open except for their weekly hand wash job.
I have two of our new disposables in the console of my pickup.
BOL!
?????
How do they reconcile those two positions?
They don’t reconcile anything. They wait for their leaders to tell them what to wear, whom to like and whom to hate.
They are mindless puppets on a string, and their elite white liberal friends or BLM thugs tell them what to do and what to wear or not wear.
?????
BOL=BIG OLE Laugh!
You are suggesting the person walking along is leaving a substantial cloud of virus particles as they continue on. Viruses are not nearly as communicable is that and you have to stay within a fairly close distance for about 6 minutes to be at serious risk of picking up much of anything.
If they were leaving that much out there it wouldn’t matter which direction you came from.
In terms of communicability this virus is no more communicable than the flu. And while it appears to have a very slightly higher mortality rate than the flu, people forget that the flu is pretty darn dangerous for a lot of people. In January of 2019 my wife my daughter and I also got the flu they both acted like they had a mild cold for about a week. 3 days into mine it morphed into a very serious case of pneumonia which hospitalized me for 4 days and came close to shutting my kidneys down. And I’m in good health.
Do you think that we should have these same procedures during the flu season for four months every winter?
We should be taking the same general precautions that we take during the flu season, at least those of us who are cognizant of the need. We don’t need to shut down the entire country and ruin the lives of millions of people and have millions of others living in abject terror.
I have a friend in Florida who is terrified to even step out into her backyard which is enclosed with an 8 ft high fence. It has basically turned her into a complete recluse for the last several months and destroyed her quality of life. The same thing has happened to millions of people. I seriously doubt if she will ever be back to completely normal. In my opinion what has been done to her and so many others is nothing less than criminal.
Sorry for the rant, I just had to have my say.
Gotcha!
