Prominent conservative commentator Andrew Sullivan announced Tuesday that he will move on from New York magazine at weeks end - on the heels of Bari Weiss abrupt resignation from the New York Times opinion section.
This will be my last week at New York Magazine, wrote Sullivan in the first of a series of tweets blasted out Tuesday afternoon.
Im sad because the editors I worked with there are among the finest in the country, and I am immensely grateful to them for vastly improving my work, he continued in the thread. I have no beef with my colleagues, many of whom I admire and are friends.
Though Sullivan described his reasons for leaving as self-evident, he did not elaborate further, promising an in-depth explanation in his final piece for the magazine.
The underlying reasons for the split are pretty self-evident, and Ill be discussing the broader questions involved in my last column this Friday, he wrote.
Sullivans announcement came just hours after Weiss stepped down from her position as a writer and editor for the Times opinion section.

So the only editors and writers left at these rags will be the woke fascists. Wonderful. 100% reason not to ever click or read.
Conservative? Not really.
Andrew Sullivan is a Conservative?
Since when is Andrew Sullivan conservative?
Like.......NEVER
By liberal communist standards, he’s Ronald Reagan.
Unfortunately the deep state is full of obedient media outlet interns just waiting to backfill such vacancies.
He seemed to be way back when he wrote for “New Republic” magazine
Not much of a change, really.
When you’ve lost Andrew Sullivan..........
When was Andrew Sullivan ever a conservative?
What a croc of BS!
Any source of media coming out of NYC ultimately will resemble a woke and “diversified” Northeastern college rag. NYC itself is fully balkanized away from the rest of the country. Whites are not welcome there and better flee soon.
No, Sully is not a conservative. That is to say. he’s not “our” sort of conservative. But as an off-the-reservation gay who frequently departs from the leftist company line, he’s “their” sort of conservative.
Andrew Sullivan was the primary purvayor of the theory that Sarah Palin’s baby wasn’t really her’s. He kept beating that dead horse long after the 2008 election was over. Just another gay dirtbag.
Prominent conservative? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
He’s got about as much conservative in him as I do eskimo.
Anyone left of Lenin at New Republic would seem like a conservative, but he’s never been conservative.
Andrew likes men. Because he has no interest in a woman who calls herself a man, he is transphobic. Even though they are “pro-gay”, the woke crowd hates him for this.
The revolution is beginning to eat its own. Sort of ironic for this firing and the resignation of Bari, the NYT editor, as this is Bastille Day, and the initial leaders ended up being executed by the mob a few years later.
