Frontier communications charges a $6.00 Regional Sports Fee. According to Frontier, that charge cannot be removed from customer's bills. It's not a lot of money, but, it's more about the principle of the thing.
According to me (and I know that I'm not the only one), I don't want to be paying for something that I don't use, while the fee goes towards supporting other people's sports viewing habits, and supporting sports teams which don't listen to how the majority feel about issues.
And lately, I'm more outraged/incensed since the sports leagues have been kow-towing to Black Lives Matter and to the players who have vowed to take a knee when the National Anthem is played before a game. Furthermore, the leagues have indicated that they will play a Black Lives Matter anthem played before the National Anthem.
I'm going to do everything I can to oppose the NFL and NBA and MLB and any other sports league that follows thru with their surrender to those anti-American groups.
I'll cancel my TV/Cable plan if I have to and just go with whatever I can get through OTA and internet.
We need to petition our members of congress to ban fees such as regional sports fees, which are being forced on customers.
I vote for cancel your cable.
I remember when TV was free, and the broadcasts “Were in the Public Interest”
I must be old
It also doesn't help we moved from an area of California that only had Comcast or AT&T for Internet services to an area of Texas with only AT&T or Suddenlink (I hear the latter is horrible). Seems damned if you do, damned if you don't.
Don’t have cable - not interested in supporting any sports team anymore. The SJW, snowflakes have taken over. I voted with my feet.

Over the air digital broadcast for free, matched up with WIFI Sling TV. Small monthly fee for Sling (Free over the air).
If I really want to see a game I can go to my local sports bar and have a beer with the game.
NBA players are really complaining about food..and then there is this:
“Kings center Richaun Holmes crossed the the Disney campus line to pick up delivery food and must quarantine for 10 days (eight days remaining).”
btw, if anyone wants to watch brit shows you can get rolling 7 day free access to Acorn TV through your local library if they participate in the program
you can also watch 10 free shows a month with Hoopla
They're trying to "socialize" TV viewing so that you can't vote with your feet.
I was just forced to accept another 10 years of the Oprah channel because my moronic HOA re-signed with Comcast.
The bars are closed
I do watch some FOX, but other than that, IMO TV/cable is nothing more than a vast wasteland which is exclusively dedicated to feeding the leftwing of society. Fine. YOU pay for that, not me.
I really thought I would miss it. I don't miss it at all and feel great saving $90+ a month.
I cut the cable 10 years ago
They used to offer The Weather Channel and more HBO but looks like it was cut off.
I second the “cancel your cable”. I canceled mine in 2007 because I did not want to subsidize the LEFTIST media (CNN, MSNBC, etc.)
I do not miss it one bit.
Be smart and “cut the cord”.
Watch internet TV only and shift to the radio for sports.
Over the radio it’s even more exciting.
Where are you? Probably a tax for a stadium. That’s how they like to fund those things, taxes on hotel rooms and cable bills and stuff. $1 here $2 there pretty soon you paid for a stadium. Which is why they can’t remove it, not their choice. Think of it like the Spanish American war tax we used to have on our phone bills. 108 years we were paying for that war.
They are not a government agency. If you don’t want to pay them, disconnect and get your stuff elsewhere.
They still have to pay those fees (if it is a fee on the bill, it is not going to the company, its going somewhere else.)
I don’t like what they charge for milk at the local grocer. I buy it somewhere else.
All in favor?
