Its just the flu, bro.
Herd immunity, or close to it, has almost gone throughout the USA. In fact it has been in NY and the Northeast for a while now. We just have maybe a month of elevated cases in Texas before it has to go down, just as it has gone down everywhere else. Seems like immunity comes in so many forms - antibodies, T cells, just being healthy, type O blood, previous colds caused by a different CV. So I no longer think that herd immunity formula indicating about 50% of the population needs to catch this. It is probably closer to 10% and then it fizzles out. Unfortunately that will not be enough to reduce the media panic.
Kozak: Since you seem to have some time to consistently post here on your “knowledgable” opinions, we would ask you to pick apart the virology and epidemiology found in the following article. (please, don’t waste our time by pointing out the source is (a) and interpretation and (b) foreign. The task is to focus on the science presented.)

Please, show us where the science is wrong.
That is, unless all you do here is run a script and run away.
That case is not a “registered positive”.
It’s was just the flu, bruh.
okay so it lasted about two weeks. That’s interesting. Sounds like there was discomfort but you never felt like your life was in danger. People don’t understand that taking antibiotics can be very important because a body weakened from a virus can lead to bacterial pneumonia.
I am glad you got better
I am glad you are back with us now. H1N1 was as bad a covid in our neck of the woods with one important difference. It was young people who were on vents and dying. those of us old enough to have had the Hong Mong flu in the 70s were partially immune. Obama did nothing - ignored it. We got through it without collapsing the economy and destroying civil liberties and life went on
38 years ago for me.
They thought I would be a vegetable...if I ever came out of the coma.
Fooled them.
/but it’s been no easy ride
My mom had the HK Flu in the 70s.
She stayed in bed at home and my dad and I took care of her.
She was sick as a dog.
Neither of us “got it” which makes no sense, considering we were as far from being “quarantined” from her as you could ever get.
Mild exposure as a kid maybe helped?
bkmk
If you read Lockdown Larrys facebook page, you see comments from Marylanders begging him to lockdown children/ schools so they dont kill anyone.
If ever there was an argument that some natural herd immunity exists, it is the almost zero evidence of illness in children. And the lack of evidence that they infect anyone else. . Of course, if we lock them down long enough, we will weaken their immune systems and undo what nature has tried to provide
Wow!!
I never went to into a coma but when I was in ICU my mother went to buy a kitten and my aunt was calling funeral homes. My mother heard that kittens were good for sick people :-)
And my aunt thought it was over.
I know how much you have suffered and it sounds like you were in worse shape so I can only imagine.
Headaches that don’t seem possible that the body could generate that much pain. Insomnia for 72 hours. Night terrors. I woke up every 10 minutes for over a year.
Pulsatile tinnitus. I get to hear my heartbeat for the rest of my life :-)
Absent so much more. I typed 100 words a minute before and I typed 12 after. I am back up to a hundred.
I sincerely wish you had not had to go through that but to find somebody that understands is unusual.
No Kozak he has been reading and keeping up with the literature unlike you.
Keep showing your IQ on a daily basis....
could have
Family reunion pics are so much fun, but you should tag that photo and list the names of your family members so we can tell y’all apart. Which is you? Which is your mom? Cousin Jo-Leen?
OK, now, that's just rubbing it in. The rest of us have the Barry Sotero years burned in to our memories, while you just have almost 8 years of nothingness? Well, come to think about it, the experiences are not that different, except for the bad taste in the mouth from the former.
Here's to continued good health!
How did the Bolshevik communists succeed in 1917 Russia?
They stripped the Czar and his supporters of their _humanity_ and killed them with the support of the masses.
How did Hitler succeed in mass termination of European Jews?
He stripped them of their _humanity_ and killed them with the support of the masses.
Masks hide the _humanity_ of the wearer and society is now making people that refuse to wear them evil, uncaring and sub-human.
What happens next?
Learn from history.
One. Sadly; the total doubled to TWO on the 9th.
“Maybe you really analyze the data and know something we dont.”
Actually, considering “the data” we’re given by NIH, CDC, etc., is fudged, concocted, skewed, inconsistent, etc., nobody could possibly analyze the data — not even Kozak.

Ah, our resident pygophiliac chimes in with his daily nonsense.
