TikTok actually pulled the plug on its own application in Hong Kong - yesterday, I think.

The new Communist imposed speech laws have life-in-prison penalties for sedition and other anti-state activities, and TikTok does not want to be part of the enforcement process.

Since TikTok is a Chinese company, I assumed their number one market was China.

Maybe they have two different applications - one for free countries, and one for police states?

OK, so the overheated headline cites "DeJuan Booker" and his 750,000 followers. This fellow is SO famous, the author of the piece MISSPELLED his name! It is DAJUAN BOOKER.


One, not all those on TikTok are teens.

Two, TikTok has been a "thing" for about a year. When it is no longer a "thing" for whatever reason, the followers go back to Snapchat, Instagram, or the hot new thing, and TikTok winds up in the same spot as MySpace. In fact Dajuan has Facebook and Instagram.

Three, a large number of these people are NOT stateside, and Europeans, Canadians and Asians aren't supposed to vote in our elections.

Four, a larger number of the "teens" will not be of voting age on election day.

Five, of those 750,000, 675,000 are occasional or casual users. The world is heavily populated with marginal celebrities who claim millions of followers. Maybe. No big deal if they are.

Six, Dajuan has as many hits on Google for drug offenses as for his online presence. His followers weren't voting for Trump (those who have grown out of braces and training bras) any way. We don't WANT his favor.
