Lady Antebellum’s lawyers apparently trademarked the new name years ago, while Lady A the blues singer’s lawyers did not.

Legally the three white fashion victims probably can win this one. Ethically, they’re making themselves look like real tools.

Oh BTW this is why people with trademarks are forced to come down hard on people who may inadvertently use their trademark.

You allow one person to knowingly get away with it and your legal protection is weakened.

So, as to not offend anybody’s delicate sensibilities, they’re taking the word Antebellum out of their name and shortening it just a lady a, and then attempting to steal the name from a black singer? They need to check their white privilege. They’re sending mixed messages to their new BLM overlords.
