I have it but I don’t post anything on it. These people who post all about their lives, videotape themselves are crazy not just because China is collecting data on them, but also if you post anything offensive it could cost you your job.
I’m the same way with Facebutt. Have it, but post nothing, comment on nothing, rarely look at it other than checking on extended family.
You know who I see using this app the most, especially on Facebook are the ones who are Black Lives Matter supporters.

These motherboards were believed to be installed in up to 65% of the systems running in datacenters across the country. These pint-sized chips were used to exfiltrate all types of data to the Chinese government. It wasn't until some enterprising security researchers started taking apart PCBs that they found these chips. There was a mad scramble to replace an inconceivable number of systems across the US, and Super Micro fell out of the sky like Icarus.
The point of the story is that when it comes to the Chinese, esp. with regards to computing, even the most inane piece of software is likely doing something with which you'd have a problem. It doesn't matter if you post or not, I guarantee if you open that app on your phone, there's some type of data about you being sent to them.
Use at your own risk.
TikTok is a commie spyware app aimed at young people. It should not even be available to download on the app store.

I don’t see any way to properly assess a difference amongst the entire group. I see them all as equally risky.
Never trust any app or software coming out of China. If it isn’t packed full of bugs, it’s packed full of spying software so the Chinese government can learn how to use you and control you to their benefit.
I saw ads for Tik Tok and was thoroughly disgusted.
It was clearly for losers. The ads were such a turn off.
I have never done social media in the first place and have no desire to.
That’s just crazy. Google is an American company headquartered on American soil. Whatever they may be doing, it’s at least being closely monitored by the US government. The Chinese government is a hostile force bent on dominating you, me, and everyone else in the world. They will use every piece of knowledge they can gather about us to their advantage in furtherance of their goal to beat us and take everything we have. Google is just a greedy American corporation. I can at least understand that.

Google is a greedy corporation being monitored by the US government? Wonderful. But who is monitoring the US government? Who is monitoring people like the Bidens who make millions from offshore shady business deals? And who allows Corporations like Google, Amazon and Facebook to keep the government corruption and graft ever-growing?

The TikTok Android app is Chinese spyware disguised as a social media app. It uses the OLLVM obfuscation engine to hide its code.
An Android security expert managed to defeat OLLVM to reveal its naughty behavior, including how it snoops on your contacts and uploads arbitrary payloads to run them without your permission.

The mystery is why Google allows such a badly behaved app in their Google Play Store when it so egregiously violates their TOS rules.
People will always look to make money. Some will cheat and cut corners to do so.
But that doesn’t excuse siding with sworn enemies of the United States over my own country. America first, always and forever.
Another thing TikTok does is create a bunch of artificial ‘likes’ for your first few posts, presumably to rope you in.
