SEATTLE - Hundreds of protesters gathered in Magnuson Park Friday night before making their way to Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan’s neighborhood.
The crowd that marched to the mayor’s home was large enough to fill an entire city block, with an estimated two thousand in attendance.

The crowd of protesters loudly marched into her neighborhood, chanting about their demands to defund Seattle police and reform justice, and demanding that she resign.
The protesters also brought with them a large sound system, noisemakers, cowbells and music.
After an hourlong rally, demonstrators paraded past the mayor’s gate where KIRO 7 was told police lined the mayor’s driveway.
There has been a lot of sensitivity about demonstrators marching in the mayor’s neighborhood since their last march Sunday.

She should have had a line of social workers, psychiatrists, and dispute resolution counselors (all unarmed of course) in front of her house, that would have really scared the rioters, looters, vandals, and arsonists away.
She bent over backwards to accommodate them. That really worked.
Why would Durkan think that police were needed? These “demonstrators” were...mostly peaceful...
The police should join the protesters.
She does not have their back—the cops should return the favor.

You can never appease a mob when there is not a single leader - who do you negotiate with? Who is in charge of the mob? BLM has been racking up the donations from companies, but who is that money really going to and what will they do with it? Their demands are simply impossible - abolish the police? Really? It is completely absurd. Empty the jails? That is absurd also.
Even the various groups protesting do not agree on many important things.
I am surprised so many supposedly intelligent and educated people don’t understand this fact of human nature. Those who try to negotiate or appease them believe they are dealing with the CNN or MSNBC version of the mob as they defined it - but that is a lie.
Today, Pilate would have to write a check to the Pharisees Benevolent Fund or something. Back then, he could have waved his hand and had the entire crowd crucified.
I wonder how consumed the descendants of the Romans are today with implied cultural guilt? Is there a graduate version of Roman Privilege at the Italian equivalent of NYU or Evergreen College?
Who is getting the money that goes to “Black Lives Matter?” If it is the organization that has the Black Lives Matter Global Network website, have the companaies/people who are donating even read the mission statement?
