Emory & Henry College in Virginia has announced to students the school will re-examine its wasp mascot. Why? The bug may appear exclusive to students who are not White Anglo-Saxon Protestants, or WASPs.
While a public outcry over racism continues around the nation, the college is already concerned that its two historical namesakes Methodist Episcopal Church bishop John Emory and founding father Patrick Henry were slave holders. The school mascot has also come under scrutiny.
Conversations must examine how Emory & Henrys past has contributed to current and ongoing systemic oppression, said Dr. John Wells, president of Emory & Henry College, according to the email obtained by Young Americas Foundation.

A prediction: All “Casper the Friendly Ghost” cartoons will be pulled sometime soon, because Casper is white.
E&H has been on the decline for some time.
First of all, the W.A.S.P. racial designation is almost always used as a pejorative.
It will be OK to the Left if they renamed it the Lenin and Che college.
BS.
Wasps don’t discriminate...they are equal-opportunity stingers.
Dung Beetles
Washington & Lee University will be next...

It’s gone well beyond stupid at this point.

Close the college before fall, and sell off all the assets. All income should be donated to BLM and Antifa. E&H can just put their money in their mouth.
All they have to do is say no.
Any shenanigans?
On private property? Have security remove.
On public property? Blast uncomfortable sound waves. Flashing lights. Sirens. It will end.
Is the Emory Wasp related to the Babylon Bee?
Bug lives matter.
Sometimes a wasp is just a wasp.
Most young people have to be TOLD what a WASP is. This is ignorant on the part of the school
Does that mean the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are next?
