The NFL will reportedly play Lift Evry Voice And Sing, which is also known as the black national anthem, before every Week 1 NFL game in the 2020 season, according to ESPN.
The decision to play the song comes following the death of Minneapolis man George Floyd, which led to nationwide protests over racial inequality and police brutality.
According to the ESPN report, the song will be played before The Star-Spangled Banner.

#1. Neither did they!!!
Singing about the NFL, “By, By Anti-American Guys”.
That’s what conquest is. Not just stopping what you don’t like, but replacing it. Lot of cultural conquest going on in our country right now, and it will only get worse.
I thought the black national anthem was Say It Loud I’m Black and I’m Proud by James Brown or Amazing Grace by some miserable wretch.
Louis Farrakhan has always preached black separatism and black supremacy. Going back to the 1960s.
On futurama, they called this classical music. lol
Cancel cable. ESPN pays the NFL’s way.
“Lift Evry Voice And Sing”
Uhhhh, you can’t say “all lives matter” but it’s OK to say “lift every voice”.
Got it. They mean only voices of color.
Great idea! But it doesn't stop with ESPN. Cable also pays for CNN, MSNBC, and other purveyors of fake news, leftist propaganda, and cultural rot.
Even a better point.
Since White Irish guys have become the “minority” in the NFL, will they be playing Oh, Danny Boy between the Black and White Anthem?
I only want what’s fair.
Football is dead to me.
What’s “football”?
I never understood the mass obsession with sports celebrities in the first place. I do remember being proud of some star athletes in my high school, then the Phillies during the 1960s at Connie Mac stadium.
But back then, I thought they were actually from Philly! When I realized they were traded around to different cities, I lost interest.
Same with Hollywood stars - when I was young maybe I admired a few, but the more I learned about what they are really like, I realized celebrity just isnt a thing for me.
I never caught the bug with the British royal family or the Kennedys. Famous people are usually famous for all the wrong reasons if you ask me.
Not that there arent special people that were my heroes. Ronald Reagan was a hero to me, and Donald Trump is now. But it has zero to do with Reagan being a Hollywood actor or Trump being a celebrity.
So for me, the NFLs fall from grace cant come soon enough. They dont deserve a fraction of the attention they get.
So is this somewhat of a “Kwanza” thing, with most colored people wondering what the hell it is?
Is there a translation of the lyrics from Ebonics into English?
Whats next? A black homeland? Some colleges are already holding separate graduation ceremonies for blacks and have black only parts of student union facilities. We are going backwards with a return to segregation and separate but equal treatment.
Fellas, guys and gals, use the extraordinary time you would have spent watching these foolish games and spend time with your families, spend time exercising and getting fit, stocking up, and organizing for the coming
Events. No time to be watching football right now anyway. Well get it back someday, after order has been restored. Turn that damn sh@t off.
Football is the opiate of the masses
I thought the No Fun League had run out of ways to get me not to watch their spoiled millionaires run around and play their game, but they somehow keep coming up with new reasons for me find ways to keep my self otherwise busy on Sunday’s in the fall....
