From my recollection with time capsules, most of the time, whoever was responsible for the time capsule didn’t understand issues with long term caching. The capsule failed and the contents were ruined.

I would be neat if somebody dressed up a few zombie-looking skeletons in tattered Confederate uniforms and rusty sabers to do a “ghost” photo op near where the monument had been.
