For the money I’d buy a good flame thrower. Legal to own and a LOT more deterrence.

Buy one off Gunbroker.com and have it shipped to a local dealer that will take delivery and transfer the weapon to you and do the federal paperwork(about $25.00)You can pick over the hundred or so models that will be for sale on their website. Yes, this is perfectly legal.

I like a good Quentin Tarantino movie...but no.

Mini-14 MSRPs are all around $1000, so the price difference between a Mini and an entry-level AR-15 (AR-14 if you’re Joe Biden) is really not an issue. It comes down to which platform you prefer.

If you want one made on real bushmaster tooling get a windham.

I know a guy that spent like 3k on a Novesk AR.
I fail to see how it is better than a $600 DPMS

A SAGA 12 would be better for crowd control.

And muzzle discipline as well. In fact they both need some basic firearm handling instruction. I really wonder Mr. actually knows how to chamber a round.

Interesting how many ARs are out of stock. A lot of people are getting armored-up.

The lowest price I saw was $850 with some ranging up to $1200. I suspect they may be more available that a good AR-15 through reputable dealers.

I field stripped M-16s (many many times) and the mini 14 is far easier to clean and maintain. That is a big consideration for the new gun owner who is not part gun smith.

I actually purchased a 9mm carbine (non AR15) before all this started. Shares ammo with the pistol. Both shorter range arms.

I had a Ruger Ranch Rifle Mimi-14, but got rid of it because I found it inaccurate. Maybe if it had a better (heavier) barrel I would have found it more accurate and liked it.

Buy one that can take the 5.56 pressure and you are good for .223 The cartridge is physically almost identical but 5.56 is annealed and is speced by NATO
